Pets, just like us, can suffer illness and injury at any time. What provisions do you have in place to make sure they are taken care of? Do you have insurance or a savings pot for your pet?

Did you know that some animals prefer alternatives to tap water because they are sensitive to the taste of chlorine used to purify our drinking water? It’s either puddles or mineral water for these guys!
If you have a new pet or are new to the area, you can register your pet with us online...
Valentine’s Day is a great time to show your pet how much you care, too! Read on for our favourite vet-approved Valentine’s gifts for pets:
It was always a pleasure to see you here at the practice, we will all miss you. Rest in peace Shelley ❤
Many pets can get set in their ways as they get older. This could mean insisting the same sleeping spot or refusing to go on a walk unless it’s to their favourite park. Does your pet have habits that you can’t change?

It’s very important to vaccinate your dog to prevent a range of deadly diseases. Luckily, we do not see these diseases as commonly in the UK anymore because we are good at vaccinating our pets. However, they’re still out there, so any unvaccinated pet is still potentially at risk. Puppies require a starter course given around 2 weeks apart and is usually from 8 weeks of age. Dogs will then be given a booster vaccine every year or every three years (depending on the vaccine) after this to ensure that their immunity is ‘topped up’. This is also the perfect opportunity to give your pet a complete nose to tail check up to make sure that they are in good health.
Despite our best efforts, our beloved pets don’t always understand the rules around which foods they are allowed. Has your pet ever stolen human food that wasn’t for them?
How would you like to save, on average, £134 on your pet's healthcare costs? Check out our very own Pet Health Club today!
Did you know that it takes 3 years to become a qualified Vet Nurse? Each Nurse has to pass a series of written and practical exams in order to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse or RVN. Just like Vets, Nurses learn about medical and surgical conditions in order to know how to nurse our patients. Nurses also learn topics such as theatre practice, intravenous fluid therapy, anaesthesia, infection control, emergency medicine, laboratory skills, phlebotomy (taking blood samples), midwifery and pharmacology.
❗IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE PET PASSPORT SCHEME❗
Great news!! 😊 We have just learnt from the government that the Pet Passport Scheme will continue in its current form until at least December 2020. This means no blood samples or other certificates, other than the Pet Passport will be required. For more information please contact the clinic on 01264 352323 🐶🐱✈
