Summerlands Caravan Park Description
We offer a welcome to all those seeking a quiet place for their caravan, motorhome or tent, which is off the beaten track. The site affords peace and tranquillity, with the added bonus of superb panoramic views and level pitches. It is ideal for a prolonged holiday, or a one night stop over.
The park is situated within Cranborne Chase, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), about six miles SSW of the medieval city of Salisbury, on the edge of the village of Coombe Bissett. It is set high on the 135m contour line, facing south, in the midst of the rolling Wiltshire chalk downs, which are intersected by many paths and bridleways.
Summerlands Caravan Park was originally a certified location for 5 caravans and was developed into the current site (20 pitches plus a further 6 for tents) in 1995. It retains the ambience of the original "little friendly site". Alan and Barbara Ely acquired the site at end of December 2009 and it is now a family run site, with 3 generations assisting in maintaining and improving the facilities.

Our local (ish) Astronomy Group come along to Summerlands Caravan Park (Salisbury) and we turn off the outside lights to improve the (weather dependant) view of the sky.
The group are very friendly and welcome other campers to take a look at the stars by night and the sun by day, using their fantastic equipment.

We stayed her with our 2 dogs last weekend and couldn't fault it. The place is spotless and very welcoming..Thank you we will definitely be staying again.

Very well organised, very clean and very friendly. Altogether a lovely experience. We will go back regularly for weekend breaks as it's such a lovely site and very central whilst being secluded.

This is the most peaceful and beautiful site. The owners Alan and Barbara are very welcoming and helpful. The site is kept immaculate and the toilet and shower block is very clean. Lots of great dogs walks.
The owners are Charming. We arrived at short notice and very late this was not a issue. The site is clean and has a well kept washing and cleaning facility.
Possibly the best site we've ever stayed on, 25 years caravanning, secluded yet perfectly placed for so much of the central south simple but excellent facilities, great for dogs. Never had a problem with the ehu which in itself is remarkable, friendly but discreet staff etc, I could go on but better still come and try it yourselves!! Please leave a pitch spare for us to return regularly �

Lovely place to camp. Compared to the campsites We usually go to it's plain to see why it's so loved. We'll be back in the future. Owners are friendly and approachable and really happy to help.

Lovely clean and quiet campsite. Will definitely come back. My partner, myself and the dogs had a lovely time.
Beautiful, peaceful setting with gorgeous views. We were provided with everything we needed (including the kind loan of a power extension). The facilities are great - admittedly only one shower, but it is a really great shower! This place is clearly the owners’ pride and joy as it is so well maintained. Pub is quite a trek but it is nice to ‘earn’ the pint!
A wonderful site. Well kept, superb views, generous sized pitches and the owners are so helpful. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.
A gem of a sight. Facilities are basic but immaculate. The views are stunning and the owners amongst the friendliest we have encountered. This is our 2nd time here and is becoming a firm favourite
Nice little place although I'm visiting it out of season! Only 1 shower so can imagine very busy in the summer trying to get sorted in the mornings!
