About Tame Valley Wetlands

Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership Scheme is a non-profit organisation, working together with the community to improve and restore wetland areas.

Tame Valley Wetlands Description

Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership Scheme is a non-profit organisation, creating a landscape rich in wildlife and accessible to all. We are led by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

We have volunteering opportunities available as well as community engagement through courses and events. We also offer accredited qualifications.

We've helped to improve wetland habitats across the Tame Valley area and will continue to do so with the help of the North Warwickshire /south-east Staffordshire community.

From installing Sand Martin banks to re-profiling the River Tame, our work is landscape-scale, with help from our 20 + partners, including: RSPB, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, Environment Agency, Canal & River Trust, Warwickshire County Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.

We also have heritage projects for the area. More info can be found at www. tamevalleywetlands. co. uk

FREE RESOURCES!
We have a surplus of plastic discs at Hams Hall Environmental Centre which we no longer have a use for. We do not want to throw these away, so are there any schools, Guiding, Scouting, arts, community or craft groups who could find a use for them? So far we have used them as effective coasters and art projects! Please share with anyone you think might be interested - you can have as many as you like for free (we have a few boxes spare), you just need to be able to pick them up from Hams Hall Environmental Centre. Contact us via messenger or youth@tamevalleywetlands.co.uk if you are interested.

Fantastic day with a primary school group today! They had great time outdoors finding mini-beasts and building wonderful habitat hotels to return them to. Plenty of creatures from woodlice and worms to snails and centipedes!

Remember hedgehogs!
A pile of wood can look like a lovely home to a hedgehog, so please remember to move or check your bonfire for wildlife before lighting it.

What are you doing with your left over pumpkin? Do you know of any wildlife which could benefit from it?
