About The Anchor Inn, Eling
The only waterside pub in Totton. Proper home cooked pub food and also we have a great tapas menu. We are family and dog friendly with amazing views of Eling Quay and the historic Tide Mill.
The Anchor Inn, Eling Description
The only waterside pub in Totton. This newly refurbished pub is family and dog friendly with amazing views of Eling Quay and the historic Tide Mill. The Anchor Inn is a great starting point or end point for a great day out. We have fantastic marina great for mooring up and coming in for a bite and a pint, crabbing off the walls is fantastic fun for the whole family. With great dog walking routes and fun on the beech. The area also gives great history opportunities with the tide mill and the church on the hill. The Anchor Inn is a great central hub to the community and surrounding neighbourhoods with great links to Southampton west Quay for all your shopping needs and the New Forest for everything you could image to do in a fantastic idyllic setting.

We held my father in law's wake at the Anchor recently. The staff were really helpful and friendly and provided a great service. The buffet was excellent and more than enough, we were able to play our own playlist of music and displayed flowers and pictures to make it personal to us.
A special mention must go to Beth who was fantastic at organising the event and made everything run smoothly on the day which took away some of the stress at this difficult time.
The Anchor is in a beautiful location with views of the quay and mill being particularly poignant.
The family thank you for arranging a memorable celebration for a wonderful man.
Very friendly pub and dog friendly too which helps when you have 3! Service with a smile all the time. Not eaten in there yet but had several walks with the dogs and gone in afterwards and have been there of an evening too. Top place 👍
The staff are very friendly & helpful & the food is amazing. Will be recommending them to people to go there & enjoy there food & friendly atmosphere.
Staff are the best, nothing was too much trouble, add great value and it's a winner all the way.
Just in the pub now and it's lovely and the bar staff ( Beth ) is lovely and very pleasant too. Would recommend it to my friends plus the food is fantastic .
Had a lovely evening at the Anchor by Totton 's waterfront and seeing the band The Business would have been lovely to see a few more faces and had the sun shining but it was great all the same
Friendly staff and a nice selection of ales. Had an 8oz rump steak which was very nice, one of the best I have had in a Local pub near Totton. Good value and fast service. Would recommend a visit.
First class roast thank you so much. Xx
Excellent place the new landlords are really nice people and I'm really pleased that the pub is now open again and has had a fab makeover
Booked the whole of the anchor restaurant for 25 people for Easter Saturday and had a fab afternoon! Food was amazing and so were the kids meals. Brilliant service and lovely staff!!! Would thoroughly recommend to all. Thank you Chris! We had an amazing day.

We cycled from Hythe to The Anchor and sat inside for lunch when it opened at 12 .
There were benches outside and the location was a bit special as it was at the Waterside and the little Marina was in front of you.
The menu was good ( including a child's menu) , food was reasonably priced, the staff welcoming, and the decor was bright and modern.
There is parking outside.
If you drive over the water you will be charged a £1 toll.
Apparently it gets very busy on sunny days so I suggest you book ahead.
At present there us building work u til next Spring following a Lottery grant the Tide Mill is being redevoped with a new info centre and cafe.
Very friendly nice view of all the sailing boats food quite good nice to sit in tge garden on a sunny day .
Staff were friendly and welcoming but the food was overpriced for what it was. Would expect to pay around £6-7 for the quality of food we were served but each dish was around £11-12. Its a shame because the location and staff are lovely but our entire group felt the food was not of a good standard.
Nice location by Eling tide mill. Could do with tables by benches . Disappointed stopped doing food at 5.30 on summer evening . One member of staff more interested in chatting , rather than serving customers ., she saw we were waiting still ignored , had to ask to be served.
I have to say the pub it's self is set in a rather stunning location food was nice but the women behind bar (kelly) was shocking her foul mouth would definitely stop me visiting again
First time visiting, heard a lot about it. Lovely location with nice views of the boats. Took my son for a meal. Restaurant was very quiet as most customers outside enjoying the evening sun. The Gammon my son had was lovely if a little over priced and my curry special was a let down as it only had 2 lumps of beef, rest was veg and served warm. I was so hungry I ate it but again over priced. £24 for meal and a round of drinks x 2 coca cola.
This is not the best family pup to go to 1,the staff were rude.2.the food is over prised.and3 my car was scratched when I used there car park .this pub has gone down hill .hopefully there be new landlords that take over and will well come there local community .
