Update on the Road Works from the a36 roundabout at warminster on the a350 to Five Ash Lane!! The council have been pretty noncommittal on access but our advice is that access from the roundabout is likely to be a problem from 7pm tonight. So if travelling after 7pm you’ll need to approach the gym past shearwater or centre parcs and in through Crockerton or through Sutton Veny and Longbridge Deverill in the other direction. Obviously leaving the gym after 7pm the same applies! Please pass onto your mates who may not have read this! Thanks 👍👍

Went with misses for the first time today to a hiit class and we both loved it. Very knowledgeable staff and a friendly atmosphere will definitely be going again.

There's just a great atmosphere at the Armoury. Definitely the most friendly gym I've been to. Even if you're not into CrossFit, the circuit and Hiit classes are really good and there's none of that stereotypical stuff that you get in other gyms. I have recommended it to my friends and would recommend to anybody else.

The Armoury opened in 2015 and it wasn't until November 2016 that i actually ventured down there to check it out. Its situated just 3 miles from me and 1 mile from warminster and it took me 16 months to check it out. This is for 2 reasons, 1 its on a road i just never go down unless going to the beach ! although it is only 1 mile from warminster it seems so out of the way but in reality its not !! and takes me just 7 minutes ( without tractors ) to get there. 2 its a crossfit gym !!! We have all seen the memes, we have all watched broscience and we all know crossfit is the fasted way to no gainz whatsoever isn't it?



So i know nothing really about crossfit other than its a cult and people don't use correct form so when i walked in and was greeted by a few people i don't even know i had my doubts about this exclusive cult that was crossfit ! not only were the people polite and inviting they were lifting ! i don't mean sat around on phones or doing multiple sets of tricep kickbacks on a machine they were lifting as in deadlifting, clean and press, squats, overhead press, All the main functional big lifts and that was just the ladies !!!!



The Armoury is a huge unit with a beaver frame in the middle that you can squat from, pull up, climb ropes etc etc. In the far corner is the "open gym" for people wishing to just train without classes! this has dumbbells from 1 to 50 kg, kettle bells from 10 to 32 kg, 6 benches, a bench press, 2 power racks, glute ham machine, leg press and various bars. there must be 15 or more barbells plus enough weights for them all, space to squat for around 10 people ! there is a track down one side for dragging the sled or prowler, battle ropes, wall balls, trap bar, 6 rowers, 2 assault bikes. Space and equipment wise this gym has as much as you would ever need and more! this made a huge change coming from a gym that was much smaller and only had 3 barbells



Nick who owns it and the other members of staff certainly look the part. All strong guys in great physical shape. All very friendly too. One of its biggest drawbacks is it gets cold ! but that has not really bothered me yet ! you just have to work harder. Another drawback is only 1 toilet but again not really a problem

If this gym was in the center of any town it would easily be the most popular gym but its location probably puts a few people off and the name crossfit probably puts people like myself ( stubborn old fools ) off as its new !

Instead of taking my word for it go there and train a few times and see for yourself !

Never been to Cross fit before. After my Intro1 I'm well impressed loved it. The gym was warm and people were happy to talk evan to the newbies :-) thank you again..

Excellent, friendly and inclusive gym. Great equipment, always updated and never out of order. Can’t recommend the Armoury high enough.

Awesome facilities, cud have spent all night trying the different equipment out. Fat grip bars make for a monster forearm pump.

Amazing venue, brilliant coaches & a massive kick up the butt in terms of fitness! Wonder why I am there at beginning of every WOD but I absolutely love it by the end...
