The Bedford Arms

Visited the pub on wednesday night, although busy both conor and dan went out of their way to provide excellent service. Providing table service before we finished our beers, being happy to help and giving a quality of service i think you'd struggle to find anywhere else in Southampton. The food was perfect pub grub, the beer was cold and the service was incomparable. If there was a 10* they'd get it.

Several of us attended as away supporters (Swansea), great atmosphere, lovely food we all ate. Personally had the all day brekkie which was excellent and great value. Beer was very reasonably priced or was that because we lived in London! No definately reasonably priced, great service from friendly staff, would def recommend to others, as will, will be back next season

Popped in for lunch today with a friend who is blind, we had just been refused entry at Diego’s restaurant a few doors down because (even though it’s illegal) their company policy doesn’t allow dogs.



I took my friend to a seat by the window and before I had a chance to look round, the barman turned up with a bowl of water for my friends guide dog, food was good, cheap, quick and really friendly service.

No many places I go where staff actually give a shit about customer service. Was a hiccup with our food and the sorted it asap and beyond. Can’t remember the blokes name who looked after us but he deserves all the credit. Legends

Myself Janice Coyle and James Collins were invited to the Bedfords this evening for the new menu tasting event.

I would like to say on behalf of all we were well and pleasantly looked after by all the Managers and all the staff were amazing.

Now for the new menu I will say before I go to far we are not Vegetarians so only had a small taste which was Ok.

As for the rest of the food we all really enjoyed The Sausages, Fish Cakes, Ribs, bhaji's, Rap ( not vegi), Beef Burger, Lemon Tart we're amazing.

Chille con Need spicing up a bit.

Lasagne was great it must have been as I ate 85% on me own but has 1 over powering herb.

Risotto on reflection with the amount of food and being another Rice dish we never tried Sorry.

The opinions that I have given were as true as a I could be for all 3 of us and NOT the opinion of any of the other Guests that were invited to a great occasion especially with the band who were amazing with such great songs.

Thank you again I know we will be eating certain items again plus some others.

Lovely place! Had visited a couple of times before and always had good food. Went in and asked if they could put together a table of 12 for us last minute, for a Christmas meal. And they did! They even gave us all Santa hats and Christmas crackers! The staff were lovely, too. We stayed for the Christmas quiz and had a great night. Definitely be back again. Thank you :)

FIVE STARS !!. What a lovely pub with Lovely staff. Staff that talk to you and they say hello. I sat and watched and every single customer was spoken to in a professional way and the place was busy, the tills were ringing !!..I ran 3 bars in Bournemouth, I ran a very tight ship and all my staff were like the staff at Bedfords... Very well done. I did try one bar next door, all the staff were on their mobile phones and on a few occasions I never even got an Hello..all I got was "What you having"..Good god...WELL done befords, very well done

Excellent service from the staff,the food was very well presented & very tasty. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Excellent service and wonderful staff. Great atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy watching sports and having a great evening!!

I went in to use the loo initially. I then went and ordered a drink to kill some time. Lovely manager on duty. Good service.

Good selection of beers, lots of TVs around the place, great place to hang out and watch sports.

Security was very polite
