Bank holiday Sunday... The perfect time to demonstrate how the weekend has melted your brain! Pub Quiz tonight from 6.30pm!

User

Southampton Pride and a Saints Fc home game. It's going to be a cracker of a bank holiday 😎😃😎 P.s. 2pt take outs and cans/bottles available 😉

User

All the pretty colours!! Friday starters for you 👍👍👍

We're sad to learn of the death of a true Portswood legend and regular of ours for the first 18 months, Mrs Giddings. She was a character...to put it mildly! We have missed and will continue to miss her stories (remember the one about the horse!), her regular demands for cups of tea or her simply telling us to 'bugger off'. We're organising a collection for wherever her family would like us to send the money so if any of you Michaels or Maureens would like to contribute, please stop by.

"Real ale?" "Never heard of it" 🤔🤔🤔

Hot dawg!

User

Friday starters! Change of pace - you lose the shiny pump clips, but gain the cider list!!

User

Will you get more points than Southampton FC today? Pub Quiz!!! Tonight from 6.30pm 😁

User

It's wet out, why not get your insides wet too 😁 Friday starters.....

User

Friday night starters! Cask and keg and new cans and bottles on the shelves as well, oooooh!

User

Question.... Who forgot to send their customary Sunday lunch time pub quiz reminder facebook post? 😏 Ah well - Quiz! Tonight! From 6.30pm! Lovely stuff

User

We're back!!! 😎 Happy Friday and we look forward to seeing you soon. Starting with... P.s anyone suggesting the line up reflects us (i.e. all pale and sour to be back) probably knows us too well to be trusted ;)

User

Back in Blighty. Cats retrieved. Might as well open the pub again.... on Friday :)

User

Top pub with top people both sides of the bar #holidays!

User

If three of you work for about 5 hours, your cool room/ cellar could also look like f'all has been done!

User

And that's us done. We're outta here - see you on the 27th X

User

Winner winner, Panama dinner! After France v Croatia fail to end their game 7-6 Panama, and therefore Tim, win the sweepstake "most goals conceded" prize Tim says "thank you England!"

User

Not everyone arrives by (standard) bike

We don't get much time out due to 2 tiny demons that masquerade as our children but we managed an hour and a bit here last weekend and it was wonderful. The beer was fantastic as you would expect and the barmaid ( I'm sorry i didn't get your name ) was really knowledgeable and great to talk beer with...

The atmosphere was lovely and we were soon knee deep in conversation with the other customers. Friendly with great beer, what more do you need?

Warm and friendly pub where the staff welcome you with a smile. You would never guess this was a new venue by looking at its cool rustic look. The owner (Jon) is really enthusiastic about his beer and is really knowledgable about what he is selling. Will definitely be visiting again..... Especially for the cloud water lapslang

This gem is a wonderful establishment combining a library experience with a real ale bar staffed by a knowledgable owner. I enjoyed a pint of Squawk and another of Apache Line and invited to try a taste of two others before settling on my second pint. Relaxing atmosphere with attentive staff. I spotted this place in the 2018 Good Beer Guide and made the pilgrimage from Chorlton; ok I was also down visiting my son who is at Uni in Southampton. I advised that we should start our evening here and spent a couple of pleasurable hours here. I shall be returning.

The staff are so friendly here and the beers are always great, there is usually a beer for any taste here. Atmosphere is fantastic also, nice and cosy, no loud music or anything to spoil your beer drinking experience!

User

The best pub in Southampton by far. Brilliant staff; friendly, funny and helpful! Would recommend to anyone!

User

Superb micro bar with an excellent choice of ale.

Will definitely be returning as it is less than a mile from my door.

User

One of a small selection of 'go-to' ale houses for us. Always friendly, knowledgeable staff and good beers.

User

My favourite place to get a drink in Southampton. The wide, always changing range of craft beers mean you want to stick around to try all the different varieties, but the atmosphere and friendliness keep you there until closing. Everyone needs to go at least once!

User

Lovely place to go for a drink. Great beers on tap & they always seem to have different ones each time I go. Really friendly staff & cosy feel to the place. Also they love dogs & that makes the perfect combo for me.

User

I love this place... Well run, great beers, friendly staff and you bring your own takeaway in. Highly recommended.

User

Heartily recommend this venue for it's excellent beer, great atmosphere, superb product knowledge & good, honest, cheeky customer service. Top notch!

User

Great selection of ales and wonderful staff. We were a party of 16 and were greeted like old friends by owners and regulars alike on a busy Saturday evening. Planning another invasion soon!

User

Great place. Good selection of beers and great at crosswords!

User

Great place, great selection of beers from some of the best local breweries and those further afield. Good for a chat with others or private time with a book.

User

Friendly, cosy and full of ales..perfect !

User

Excellent, interesting beers you don't get anywhere else in Southampton. Welcoming staff who know their stuff. Great for a quiet lunchtime or a lively Friday night. I pop in a few times a week and there's always something new to drink.

User

A really lovely atmosphere with a great range of beer. The staff really know their stuff and they're happy to help you find your favourite.

They don't do food but will provide cutlery etc if you get a takeout.

User

Very good. Pleased to see welcoming bike racks and inside a good range of beers with more seating than average for a micropub

User

Had a great evening drinking stout, and cider. Even got pizza from next door. Good seating area, although fell of my stool, chucking me ale all over the floor 😏 😏😏😉☹
