The Chequers Inn Description
A 'hidden gem’ on the edge of the historic salt marshes, this picturesque 16th Century pub and restaurant offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Steeped in history, and with strong nautical links (keep an eye out for some famous sailors! ). . . we are also the official ‘club house’ for the Lymington Mariners. ‘The Chequers’ is the ideal base for a circular walk along the sea wall, with a warm stove awaiting in winter, and a walled garden in summer. The blackboard a la carte menu changes with the seasons with a range of interesting bar snacks, barbeques, and often live music on the front patio at weekends during the summer. Real ales are a speciality along with a well chosen wine list
