🌼🌼🌼 Friday afternoon/evening opening at The Daisy Café 🌼🌼🌼
As most of you are aware, we have been talking about opening on Friday late afternoon/early evenings (3pm -9pm). We have decided to go ahead with this from Friday 27th July. Hopefully this beautiful weather will continue so we can make the most of our beautiful ‘Secret Garden of Heavitree’ ....
We will be offering a full range of alcohol, including Teignworthy Brewery ales, Norcotts cider, beautiful wines, West Coun...try gins with Luscombes of Devon tonics and Korev and Moretti lagers.
Here are some examples of the small plates we will be serving, to give you a flavour of the food on offer....
🌼Hummus, pitta and balsamic onions
🌼Grilled goats cheese salad
🌼Continental meats platter
🌼Creamy Devon blue cheese mushrooms served with rosemary focaccia
🌼Cheese and Ham platter
🌼Baked Camembert
🌼Five bean salad with red onion and fresh coriander
🌼A selection of olives
🌼Meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce
🌼Anchovies in oil

The Daisy Café are proud to display our new ‘plaque’ on the café window. The pupils of Ladysmith School have conducted a project on Fore Street ‘then and now’.... As you can see we were an outfitters all those years ago in 1939. Just imagine how very different and terrifying it would have been with the build up and ultimately beginning of WW II in that year!
A massive thank you to the pupils of Ladysmith School and Jo Jo Spinks for all your hard work - it really is much appreciated by us xxx

We are sad to say that our Fore Street planter has been attacked 😢 A bit odd as Brocks (our neighbours) planter has been left alone... Angry is not the word at the moment:( Have any of our other Heavitree trader friends been affected?

Two major things have changed recently - we now have the most amazing garden, and we have our alcohol licence... 🥃🥃🍷🍷🍷
... # We are thinking ‘should we carry on having the monthly Brasserie evening (not BYO as we now have lots of lovely drinks)?
# Should we open Friday and/or Thursdays between 3pm and 8/9pm offering tapas style food and drinks in the garden (obviously if it’s raining in the café itself!)?
Any other suggestions welcome!

Went for breakfast there a couple weeks ago but forgot to do a review.. well here goes.... beautiful cafe.. so clean and inviting.... great atmosphere and amazing freshly cooked food... and noticed a great repore between staff and regular customer highly recommended

We have called in a few times this week. On each occasion we have been greeted with smiles and George has been a good sport with all the banter he's had! We've had advice on allergies and the food has been delicious. I would recommend the poached eggs on toast and the Victoria sandwich cake, both immense!

We had our running group Christmas meal here and the food and team are both incredible. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to put this review on here but I couldn't thank the whole team enough. The food really was super super good! :)

We had a lovely lunch with you on wednesday ham and cheese panini and bacon brie and cranberry. Will definately be coming again nice to have a local buisness that seves 5 * food well done to all!! �

Very tasty food and very nice polite staff. Best fresh food I’ve eaten out in so long. So hard to come by these days. Highly recommend. Lovely garden to sit in. Proper little sun trap. Will definitely be going back with the little kids and family again �

Utterly fabulous! The staff are friendly and so accommodating, the food is sourced with care with a genuine passion for the best local produce. Everything was perfectly cooked and the coffee puts a spring in my step.

This place is the BEST in Exeter for sure..family friendly with fab hosts...the brasserie nights on the last Thursday of every month are fantastic..quality of food is excellent, always leave buzzing ���

This lovely Cafe is a Hidden Gem � visited here for Breakfast and we were blown away as it was a very pleasant experience. Really warm and friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere we will defo be making this place our regular visit as the Breakfast we had was all local produce and was amazing and so was the tea & coffee!! Stopped off for a traditional breakfast - it was superb. Nothing too much trouble when I asked to change an item. Lovely atmosphere as well - very chillaxed. Thoroughly recommend this cafe. Looking forward to trying some of the cakes - they look awesome �

Stopped here for brunch at the weekend. Cooked breakfast was stunning, and great coffee/hot chocolate too. Really warm and friendly place that seemed to be full of folks who keep coming back, and we could see why!

Quality food and a great cup of coffee! Oh and the team run by Faye & Matt are super friendly and truly put customers first!! Oh yeah, and the mushrooms are amazing!!!

Only been a couple times but both times have been lovely. Very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait for the warmer weather as just found out today they have outside seating too! Bonus.

My in-laws, who are visiting from the US, stopped into the cafe for lunch today and basically insisted we go back for dinner tonight because they enjoyed it so much! I'm so glad they did because we really loved it. The food was great and so was the service (father in law actually said multiple times 'this is the best burger I've ever had in my whole life!'). They were kind enough to make a special request for our 3 year old daughter's meal, as well as chat with her every time she wanted to tell them something, haha. We will definitely be back ��. Thanks for the lovely meal!

Lovely to sit in the garden at the back. You wouldn't think it was so close to the main road (and the breakfast was great).

Food is simple and honest and at a reasonable price. I love spending my break here with a coffee and a king prawn sandwich ���

Just what Heavitree needed a community cafe. Excellent food friendly owners nothing too much trouble. We have had breakfast lunch, been to all the brassiere nights and the no book night cannot fault any of it. If you have not visited then I recommend you do.

Great to have a nice cafe at last. A filling and tasty vegetarian breakfast and nice coffee was very much enjoyed.

Everything was top class, the food, the atmosphere, and service. I am hoping to be able to get a babysitter more so we can go to as many of these nights as possible.

Breakfast and lunch ... absolutely superb. The ingredients are all top quality and locally sourced , everything down to the dressing on the garnish was soooo tasty. The attention to detail from the decor to the food is second to none . The owners are lovely and can’t do enough for you . Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Exeter and mum who is local has found her new favourite place !! X

Best breakfast I’ve had! They also go the extra mile and look after you!

An absolutely wonderful place to eat, drink and chat. Faye & Matthew make you feel like the only customers in the cafe. Friendly and great for families too. The local food is incredible and great service by all the team. We'll be back again and again! #NewRegulars
