Wicked place! Both bar staff are friendly and bubbly, dj’s are on point and faultless, and drinks prices are fab, suited to everyone from all walks of life to! Great place for a great night out!

The Edge is an amazing place to be. The staff are friendly and helpful and it’s a fun place to be. I always feel really safe and there is never any trouble. I would totally recommend The Edge.... the BEST place in Southampton �

The Edge continues to go From strength to strength.

There have been a few minor issues regarding I.D as of late.

But these are minor bumps which can easily be resolved.

DJ Darcy (for me) is one of the top DJs there and is a star in the making.

The edge has previously won 'best out of town venue' and rightly so!.

The staff and management all continue to do an excellent job of this nightclub and more than deserves this accolade.

Not one to do reviews, but last night was really great good atmosphere but think mostly was down to a different Lady Dj they had on with black hair and loads of tattoos, I told her she was great and she should do every Wednesday and I even told Richard the manager , best Wednesday I have had in a long time , good friendly door staff and the lovely legend Stuart who serves great food at Rosie’s dinner

Not been here for quite sometime, and i was really impressed with the amount of ‘upgrading’ the club has had since the early 2000’s (when i was a regular and not a hermit like now) �

Lovely food serving area in the garden, the middle bar looks much more spacious and refreshed, and the ‘Box’ area has dramatically changed to how i remember, really classy looking now and cosy/inviting. Overall it was a great night, great atmosphere all round. Will definitely be venturing out from under my rock and visiting again very soon ��

I've been lucky enough to DJ at a lot of nightclubs over the past few years; but very rarely have I come away as buzzing as I did after my guest set here on Saturday (2nd Dec). Fabulous welcome from everyone at The Edge and Box and the crowd were SO lovely and welcoming too, as well as majorly up for it!

I used to DJ here and work as a doorman. I recently returned for a visit to check out the new refurbishments to the Box Bar. The place looks amazing. They also have a great bar menu. We tried the pizzas. No bought in bases here. The pizzas are homemade and delicious, worth every penny! They also have a range of cocktails, unfortunately, I didnt try these, instead opted for a bottle of wine. The Box has been transformed from what basically looked like a dark carvern to a stylish, light, modern cafe/bar. Nice work Team Edge!

I use to come here religiously in my uni days and now I have the pleasure of DJing here! The staff team and management are awesome. The Edge has still got that same friendly party vibe and great drink deals. This club offers something for everyone... all the best nights end up happening at the edge �

I love this club, it’s growing into a beacon for the LGBTQ+ community! They are committed to being a safe and friendly environment for gay/trans people and the nights I have been there have just been so much fun with no trouble or drama!

The staff are so friendly and the DJs know how to make you bounce around until 5am! �

The new Friday night GLOW is an absolute must, it’s a fun, glow stick party with top DJs every week keeping it fresh!

I have been a customer for over 13 years and I have had the joy to become part of the team a year ago. The Edge not only allow one and all to express themselves exactly the way they are but it provides a secure and great venue for everyone with a variety of nights and different things during the week. The Box Bar have been modernised providing a nice chill out area with a range of cocktails,The Box Bar Kitchen have a fantastic menu throughout the week with pizza,sides and paninis and the famous Rosie's BBQ stronger than ever keeps you warm on Wednesday,Friday and Saturday! ! ! With so many options combined in one venue...your week should start and end here! ! ! ;)

Shocking to see such a once great venue decline into the sorry state I saw this evening.

The aggression in the venue by ‘customers’ looking for a fight and in general being nasty was too much for us and we left. I watched 5 people being ejected for fighting, girls in the men’s toilets hurling abuse at a guy that simply wanted to shut the door to urinate in private and staff who were more interested in talking to their friends than doing their job. Gay people probably made up 40% of the capacity which tells it’s own story but when the taxi driver said he’s been told by customers it’s not a safe place for gay people to go to...goodnight from me.

Really disappointed... 4 of us queued for over 20 minutes and despite the fact that we had been there previously without any problems we were told, after waiting that we must have physical id. 3 of us did, and one photographic evidence of their id, but clearly over age to get in. We wouldn’t mind so much if this was made clear when joining the queue, but after waiting so long outside in the cold is a disgrace. Nowhere else within Southampton has had such an issue been made with this, and perhaps the Edge should consider any operational issues are related to the clientele it allows to enter, rather than those minorities (who actually made it a success in the first place) who they have not allowed to enter.

Probably the worst club I have ever been to recently. I went a while back the DJs were great and the atmosphere was amazing. Something has changed and not for the best. Please rewind to when it was a great place to come ..

New manager is fucking twat, refused to serve me when i was sober because my friends had few drinks already. This place is turning it to shit hole. Use to love it, now not worth spending time to go to.

Got kicked out literally after 2 drinks not impressed at all won't be coming back. Went to say goodbye to people I won't be seeing again and wanted a good night just for it to get ended for no reason at all. It used to be my one and only place to go for socialising never again!

The aggression in the venue by ‘customers’ looking for a fight and in general being nasty was too much for us and we left. I watched 5 people being ejected for fighting, girls in the men’s toilets hurling abuse at a guy that simply wanted to shut the door to urinate in private and staff who were more interested in talking to their friends than doing their job. Gay people probably made up 40% of the capacity which tells it’s own story but when the taxi driver said he’s been told by customers it’s not a safe place for gay people to go to...goodnight from me.

Really disappointed... 4 of us queued for over 20 minutes and despite the fact that we had been there previously without any problems we were told, after waiting that we must have physical id. 3 of us did, and one photographic evidence of their id, but clearly over age to get in. We wouldn’t mind so much if this was made clear when joining the queue, but after waiting so long outside in the cold is a disgrace. Nowhere else within Southampton has had such an issue been made with this, and perhaps the Edge should consider any operational issues are related to the clientele it allows to enter, rather than those minorities (who actually made it a success in the first place) who they have not allowed to enter.

Probably the worst club I have ever been to recently. I went a while back the DJs were great and the atmosphere was amazing. Something has changed and not for the best. Please rewind to when it was a great place to come ..

New manager is fucking twat, refused to serve me when i was sober because my friends had few drinks already. This place is turning it to shit hole. Use to love it, now not worth spending time to go to.

Got kicked out literally after 2 drinks not impressed at all won't be coming back. Went to say goodbye to people I won't be seeing again and wanted a good night just for it to get ended for no reason at all. It used to be my one and only place to go for socialising never again!
