User

fantastic place. views are beautiful. the people are great. the food is amazing and fresh. hotels are good (depends which one you book) walks are breathtaking and a quiet area with plenty to do.

oh did I mention you can get a train to Dartmouth. Bonus.

User

While the weather is like it is, who needs to go abroad. Peaceful, hot, friendly people and gorgeous beaches, views and places to be ... small piece of a corner of heaven

PS. Please don't let it rain before Sunday! ;-)

User

Torquay is a lovely picturesque harbour town..Excellent places to eat and drink..Shiraz bar and restaurant..and the Simla indian restaurant just up the hill..beautiful food...

Buses and ferries to other attractions.with living coasts and dinosaur world on the harbour...

One of my favourite harbours....

User

Torquay is a great place for a holiday the locals are lovely . But I would say some hotels are badly needing done up . They could be doing with getting refurbished. We went with urquart tours finished up in a hotel that was away up a hill. It was nearly all older people that was on coach some disabled . Hotel didn't even have a lift . And older folk and disabled had to go upstairs some that was quite steep . When we mentioned about a lift to assistant she said it's a listed building and said they are not allowed to put lift in .. think urquart will be hearing from a lot on trip when we get home . I know that's us finished with them no more had enough ..

User

This is know my new home and new start, i have been here 3 weeks and still finding my way about slowly, and im loving it

User

Stunning place, lots to do, clean, we were very lucky with thd weather, it was like being abroad, loads of places to eat and drink, hotel was lovely Derwent hotel

User

Stayed at howden court hotel, briliant staff, food and accommodation, highly recommended

User

It's a place very close to my heart as I used to live in Torquay over 20 years ago. There's lots to do here and the views and new restaurants are beautiful e.g. Pierre bistrot. Vista lounge etc. The fireworks display last night was spectacular. A lovely place to unwind and relax with lots to do

User

It just such a nice place we all loved it just a different part of the country well worth visiting and we drove a long way to visit

User

I have been to Torquay every year since I was born and I must say I still love the place as much as I did when I was a kid , such beautiful views loads to see and do , spoilt for choice one everyday and this year the weather has been fantastic. As always I enjoyed every minute of our holiday and will definitely be back next year.

User

Fell in love 25yrs ago with Torquay not been back since, but back and still in love with it beautiful really recommend to all πŸ˜€

User

Celebrated our friend’s 70th birthday in the Orange tree restaurant Torquay on 31sr January 2018. The food was Michelin star quality and an excellent venue for special occasions. A restaurant not to be missed. Rated 20 out of 10 by us four friends.

User

Brilliant area to visit. Wide range of shops restaurants amusements and beautiful views to take in. Would definitely recommend as a lovely Holiday spot for families and singletons alike. Sadly the hotel we stayed at (The Cavendish Hotel) badly needs updating. Although the staff were lovely, I would only recommend for a 1 or 2 night stay as there is no soundproofing and can be quite noisy apart from other things.

User

Brilliant Place to visit. with its beautiful palm trees. and Marina. boat trip to Brixham is a must. and also visit Paignton Zoo. its excellent . plenty of shops restaurants and cafes. just here for a few days but really enjoyed our visit.

User

Beautiful place to be in one of the best places in the world 🌍

User

As with most coastal towns

We have a homeless problem with people sleeping rough in the town centre and beggers near toilet and cafes

User

A truly outstanding part of the UK! A wide selection of restaurants with all types of cuisines. Beautiful tea rooms near the beach. Outstanding landmarks with remarkable views. It would take me forever to list all of the beaches, coves and hidden gems. Exquisite gardens and Torbay really has fantastic hospitality. We stay at the same hotel every year and they are extremely accommodating and friendly. Unlimited breakfast and special treatment with no extra charge. There are so many leaflets with discounts and vouchers where we stay suggesting museums, zoo's, caves, model villages, wildlife sanctuaries, theme parks the list is endless! I'm sure this applies to all hotels in the Torbay areas. The English Riviera really can be a bewildering Haven. 5 stars! *****

P.S the boats & ferrys are worth going on to travel across the bay taking in all the scenes. The prices are cheap! Only Β£5 for x2 to watch the Torbay Airshow with free champagne at the bar.

User

Only Torquay was really bad; old, worn down and full of noisy teens or retired people from the North and without one single nice restaurant. All the other places we visited in Devon and Cornwall were amazing, though.

User

First time in Torquay from Toronto Canada. Rented an Astor apartment. Beautiful scenery especially of the coast. Varied things to do. Only complaint all the stores and restaurants close too early or ran our of food! Also took 1 1/2 hours to get a pizza delivered to our apartment from Dominos pizza in Torquay!
