A big shout out to Marc at French Creative. He’s the one I have to thank for creating the Halfway House Inn and Trevisker’s brands. Marc has listened well, interpreting my thinking and what I’m working to achieve with Trevisker’s and Halfway House Inn. Marc’s work is so much more than logo design, he’s positioning our brands to help us compete and I look forward to seeing our brands develop alongside our food offering. I highly recommend Marc to help you get your brands strai...ght and bring them to life! Went about a week after they opened for lunch. Brilliant service by a lovely waitress, great food and it's a cute place aswell! I can imagine would be lovely for a meal for two in the evening!

User

Visited for Sunday lunch, family day out. Carvery was fantastic, food was fresh and well cooked. There was a huge choice of vegetables and enormous Yorkshire puddings! Desserts were so good, we tried the Tiramisu, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Banoffee Pie! We left happy and very full!! Well done to Henk, Lola and the team!

User

Stopped off today. Food was great we had gammon and chips and fish and chips with proper home made chips plenty of everything and the staff were very helpful will definitely go back.

User

Stopped off today for lunch after a walk on the beach. We have a very nervous dog and were happy to sit outside. The lady behind the bar (sorry I didn't ask your name) let us bring him into a small area of the pub, through a fire door, so that he didn't have to face any scary people!! We had the most gorgeous lunch that was excellent value for money. The most amazing customer service, food and pub. Thank you so much, it was all most appreciated and fantastic value for money as well.

User

Stopped for a spot of lunch -had steak baguette - excellent food -value for money -great service and staff. Definately worth a visit.

Our whole evening at Evening House was a fantastic experience from start to finish. It was our wedding anniversary & we were celebrating with friends. The food was amazing. We had 4 different meals ( duck, 2 kinds of steaks & belly pork).Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff.

User

My friend & I came here on Sunday evening for a much needed catch up. Even though there was a bit of a mix up with our booking it was delt with nicely by the friendly bar man. Food was just excellent! And what I particularly liked about this pub was there was no music or tv blaring. It was just us, the food & great atmosphere! So refreshing. Lovely to see this little pub being good again! Will be back!

User

Managed to squeeze in for Sunday lunch today and it was superb! The staff were great and very helpful, the carvery was delicious and generous and by the look of it, word has got out that food is great as it was a full house. Book up for next Sunday, you won't be disappointed!

User

It's so lovely that our local pub is up and running again! We have been tonight for dinner and the food was superb with friendly service. The Ribeye Steak was tip top and with allergies clearly labelled on the menu it caters for all diets! I can see eating here is going to be a regular occurrence. Well done Henk and your team.

User

In this day of reviews are king, then it's important to praise and praise well when its deserved. The Sunday lunch we had today ( 7 of us ) was exceptional , the service wonderful.

A real jewel in the crown for Cornwall , well done everyone. If you have not been then you really are missing out . Thank you

User

If you want a hearty plate full of totally delicious pub grub at its absolute finest, and you're in need of the warmest, smiliest welcome as if you're practically family, AND you adore service where you feel totally spoiled, then you've found it all.

Right here at the Halfway House. Which truly does nothing at all by halves. Be warned though.....the luxurious boutique style bedrooms, with their crisp, snow white Egyptian bedding and soft as a kitten, cloud deep mattresses will make you want to send home for all your belongings and never, ever leave! ❤️

User

Great food and a really warm welcome. Topped only by a fantastic sleep in an exceedingly comfortable room, complete with my own coffee machine. We will be back. Thanks to Henk and his team.

User

Excelent lunch beautiful batter on fish everything served wonderfully nothing too much trouble for the 12 of us compliments to the chef Thank you

Easy access from the A39 and plenty of parking. The inn has recently been refurbished and is under new ownership. There are a good range of local beers, mostly from Sharps, the local Padstow based brewery.

We ate on a Sunday and selected the carvery at £10.50. There was an interesting menu running alongside it but we decided to indulge ourselves with a Sunday roast! This was a touch above the 'multiple' option with tender meats (including rare beef) and a vast range of well cooked and flavoured vegetables. We didn't have a pudding but the selection looked inviting.

There was an eclectic mix of customers eating and drinking with dog walkers sitting outside, presumably as it was a sunny afternoon. One pleasing feature were the snug dining areas, allowing intimate eating and not, as in so many pubs, loads of people in one large restaurant area.

If you are looking for an honest non themed old coaching inn with a good offering you will not be disappointed here. We will return for dinner soon.

Put this pub on your 'must visit' list next time you are in North Cornwall.

User

Came here on a recommendation from a friend of Henks, the food was exceptional, very attentive staff, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend and we will return on a visit from South Yorkshire.

A true hidden gem.

User

Absolutely the best carvery I've had in years

The food was amazing and plenty of choices of vegetables

The rhubarb and apple crumble was to die for

Highly recommend this restaurant and will be making many more visits and will recommend to friends and family

User

A great little pub. Restaurant quality food in a relaxed, friendly setting. The menu is varied with a great selection of starters and mains. We will definitely be making a return visit very soon.

User

Past this place hundred of times and wondered why it hadn't closed down always looked empty and run down. We went for Sunday carvery WOW it is lovely inside with lots of attentive staff and it was packed out! the Carvery was excellent with tender meats (and can have all of them!) and seems like every vegetable you could think of to go with a Sunday roast. We will definitely return but will make a reservation! and are telling everyone what a lovely place it is ..just a Shame is doesn't have any "kerb appeal"
