Booked a table for 12, from ages 4 to 82. We nearly all ordered different meals. The starters were huge and could have been main meals.

All of the mains arrived together, all hot and all freshly cooked. There were no complaints and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything.

It was really good pub grub and I would highly recommend the Jubilee.

The staff were attentive and overall we had a great family night

User

We go every week on Monday for lunch - staff are brilliant and the food reasonably priced what more can you ask for. Sunday lunch is good too went yesterday and had the beef - very nice and pudding as well for Β£9.99 !!!

User

The last time we dined here was about a month ago and it was lovely. The staff worked hard to ensure our evening went well. The meal was hot and cooked well. The staff were polite and the overall atmosphere was lovely thank you.

User

Table of 9, ages from 6-50,everyone ordered something different, food came out quite quick, everyone's meals were hot, I had the Royal mix, which is the mixed grill with a few additions, everyone enjoyed their meals, the staff were friendly and helpful, only slight complaint is the steak on my Royal and the Ribeye on another meal were both a little chewy

User

Haven't been in a while because it had gone down hill a bit but went yesterday and the food was fab ! Large potions excellent value for money , only slight criticism as that the chicken was a bit on the dry side but it still filled the gap so all in all will definitely go back again !

User

Food service was fantastic as was the quality of the food and value for money. It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and there were only two people serving. Twice I queued at the bar for drinks and twice I walked away after a 15 minute wait. Need more staff on. That's my only gripe though.

User

The food was AMAZING! I give the food 4.5 but the service was terrible... the food came a reasonable time consider how many family and friends I was with but when we finished our meal, we ordered our deserts but the waitresses didn't remove our plates so when our deserts came we had to ask the waitress to remove our plates. All I'm saying is the service can be better. I would give the service a 3. Thankyou

User

Only reason I gave it a 3 ⭐️ is that I turned up around half 7 from a long road trip with my wife an 5 kids I walked in an asked I assumed as the manager and asked if there was a table for 7 at the time she said no but there will be one shortly so I said thanks an ordered drinks 5 mins later she came over n said we have a table but will need to clean it but welcome to go an take our seat we did an she cleaned it as in the manageress did 40 mins later food arrived which I didn't mind as we had walked in with out bookin however food was shocking I had steak an gammon which both tasted the same as if it had been cooked on a barbecue an kids an wife felt the same yes I should have said something but what's the point as 9/10 people moan even if the food was top Nosh just to get a free meal so the reason I gave a 3 was because of the manageress politeness an the two lads that served us 3 ⭐️

User

Cheap and cheerful, who needs the squeaky clean 5 star and 5 star prices when you have an absolute gem of a place who serve good food at brilliant prices. Will deffo go back & recommend to others.

User

Went yesterday for dinner (or so I thought) ordered food at 6pm was given 130 as an outside table number. At 7pm after food coming out for other tables I went to ask..... I was told the ticket had been processed but not actually by the kitchen οΏ½ I had my son who is 6 starving by 7.10pm. I was informed that I still had to pay for it and wait for it to be cooked wtf? I was told it would be very quick.... no thanks! Never EVER going back which is a shame as it was fine last 2 times I went. Oh and I agree with food running out, 6pm was told no Cod of any sort οΏ½

User

Went with my 2 friends , our meals came out , mine and my 1 friends was nice , my other friend had a hair in her food , which happens I know , however they never changed her meal just offered her a free pudding , so the pudding came and to out absolutely disgust there was a hair on this also , we complained but the young man told use the deserts are prepared in a separate place to main meals , my friend said to him well then surely the kitchens need a good clean , he never even apologised he just walked off , I won't be visiting here again even though 2 out of the 3 were good meals the customer service is appalling πŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ‘ŽπŸΌ

User

My wife & step daughter went for a meal & the 1st two choices on the menu we're not available!!!!!!!! So they left so won't be going back οΏ½

User

Had hunters chicken and it was dry and over cooked and the chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil,the cheese on the garlic bread tasted like a rubber welly, onion rings were bearable overall pretty nasty round of foodοΏ½

2 years ago i would have given this place 5* today i would give it 2. When i first started going to this pub it was owned by an older couple, the meals were great, the portion sizes were very generous and the food was superb value for money. The burgers were always fantastic, in fact they were the best i had ever eaten, you could tell they were proper hand made with beef and not just some processed crap. When the pub changed hands the menu changed slightly but the food remained the same, still good quality and value for money. Im not sure if it has changed hands again since but i suspect it has because all the old staff are gone and the food has drastically gone downhill. There's been numerous occasions now where me and my partner have been in and we have had to change our orders because you have ran out of food? The burgers are nothing like what they used to be and are definitely not hand made by the chef. The last straw was the pudding, i always have the fudge cake which has always been great, but when i order one and you bring out what looks like a cheap supermarket chocolate cake covered in white sprinkles because you have clearly ran out of fudge cake i think that's taking the piss. I return to the pub hoping that it will return to what it once was but its just getting worse every time i go in. The current owners are not doing themselves any favours by cutting corners and serving cheap alternatives.

User

the best thing about this place is that they sell Rekorderlig cidar, we waited over a hour we had a 3 course, mushroom that were swimming in fat, gammon egg and jacket but it came woth chip when i stated that i asked for jacket the waitress said u get what on the menu, customer service is really bad wouldnt come again οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½

User

Went here last night to try out the new menu.. I have never been so disappointed in the years we've been coming to the jubilee.. normally once every 2/3 months. To celebrate an event in our family. 5 of us all had meals.. 3 of us had the tower burger. The beef burger was burnt, couldn't even chew through. Chicken was ok, just very small and there was a tiny amount of pulled pork on the burger. One had fish and chips, the fish's batter was rock solid. Like it had been over cooked or cooked twice. The only meal that was decent was the scampi and chips. Very disappointed, as was looking forward to the new menu. Because we have never had bad food from here before..

Try to complain to the waitress, who said she would be back in a minute and never came back! Didn't get any customer service to ask how the meals were while we were eating

User

Place really gone down hill staff to busy talking to each other behind bar with dirty tables waiting to be cleared ... our puddings come and main dinner plates hadn't been taken food was ok but nothing spectacular

User

Normally I don't have an issue here. I use it for work meals and family meals. However today... I feel like I was at another pub entirely. It was relatively empty when we ordered our meals at 3.30. Poor woman behind the bar seemed to be on her own and having to ask the younger staff to come and help as they were milling around while there were several people waiting to be served behind me. I was told there was no wait in the kitchen so I meals wouldn't be long. Bonus right! Starters came out absolutely perfect 10 minutes later. No qualms. Usual quality id expect, lovely. An hour later and a few prompts, still no main. Restaurant is now full and multiple tables have had their starters and mains. Ours are nowhere to be seen. Finally the waiter comes out and says noone had informed the kitchen to do our mains and they would be out as quickly as possible. Apparently that meant giving us the cast offs. The side options weren't what wed picked, and a lot of it was very oily, as if it had been re fried. Not one of us ate all the meal, which isn't normal. We were given a free round of Pepsi to appologise and then they served the kids desert without clearing the table. For regular visitors and having spent almost Β£60 today, I expected much better. But the staff genuinely didn't seem to care 1 bit. Looks like we will be finding a new family favorite

User

Food was mediocre at best. Had a glass of wine and decided to drink it outside. Whilst sat outside I heard the owner from the room upstairs screaming and being incredibly abusive. A woman, who I can only imagine is also the owner, was pleading with him to stop. He was screaming things like 'come on then you want some' and going absolutely ballistic. I assumed this was a fight between two grown men. To my absolute horror and disgust he then drags a dog out onto the balcony. He had been abusing the dog. I was looking up at the window and saying I was going to report him to which he replied 'fucking report me to the RSPCA then' which I will be doing. You could not pay me to eat in this place again and I am livid that I actually spent money in here. If you don't like dog and women abusers then please don't eat in here.
