The Lapstone is a pub in Horton Heath, near Eastleigh. Currently being refurbished it is due to reopen in 2019 under new ownership.

"Thank you so much for all your messages and comments on this Facebook page. It's great to see so many people excited about The Lapstone, and like you, I can't wait for it to be open once again. We're doing our very best to make sure it is a huge success, but The Lapstone is 200 years old, and we want it to last for another 200 years as a pillar of the community. We have invested significantly in restoring The Lapstone and appreciate your patience... whilst the renovations are ongoing. We will open when it is right to do so, and don't want to jeopardise this fantastic project just for the sake of opening a few weeks earlier. The Lapstone was previously one of our customers, and we stepped in when others failed to raise the funds required, as we could see how much it means to the local community.

Things are quite literally taking shape inside the pub now, plenty of room for drinking, dining and dancing. We love the extra space gained from the extended areas - especially the stage area!
