THE MOVEMENT IS MOVING.
The Movement is moving to a new location to meet the supply and demand of our ever-growing client base. We will be located at The Movement, 12 Norman Court, Budlake Road, Exeter, EX2 8PY.
We are going to be offering monthly subscriptions via classes called ‘Restore’ and ‘Revive’. These are going to incorporate anything from taking care of your body to working on positional work to transfer over to your training sessions. We will still be continuing w...ith one to one training and treatments. Individual and generic programming will be released on our website very soon.
We would like to say a massive thanks to James and Martin, all of the members from CrossFit Pi and our clients that have invested, supported and trusted us through our journey together.
This is a new direction for The Movement and you can expect big things to come.

A previous accident means Matt trains with calcification in the left elbow, resulting in joint shortening. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With this in mind we make some adjustments to his program to facilitate his ongoing progress. #movementmethods #themovement

The trap bar deadlift is more transferable to Ross' sport of cycling than a regular deadlift.
By swapping Ross to a trap bar he is able to produce greater levels of peak force, velocity and power. He lifts more weight, faster with good posture and balance. It also minimises the risk of injury by reducing the stress on his lumbar spine.

User

Scorpion kicks are key when addressing Ross’ hip and lower back mobility, especially after the many miles he has spent in the saddle. We’ve used them here as a part of a RAMP warm up (Raise, Activate, Mobilise, Potentiate.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #movementmethods

my knee was super sore and meant i could not walk properly and suffered a fair whack of pain. after probably only 4 sessions Jack managed to: remove the pain; increase movement; give me some standard warm up and cool down exercises that i still follow; make me think differently about programming that suits me and not the programme.

Def recommend them :-)

User

Wonderful team with so much knowledge between them. I've been fixed by both of the team and they're just fab and super friendly x

User

This was my second sports massage with jack and he completely sorted a knee injury that had stopped my training. He is always so professional and knowledgeable with anything I’ve come to him with. Can’t recommend the Movement enough !

User

These guys though I've never moved so well since I started seeing Jack and Daisy and finally moving pain free, starting to progress in my training more than i ever have..

User

Really lucky to have access the guys at The Movement each day at Pi. Both Jack and Daisy have helped me with injuries / injury prevention, and gotten me up and running again when things haven't been right. I recommend them to all of my clients as their service is invaluable, and they really know their stuff

User

I've seen both Daisy and Jack in the past, more recently Daisy has been helping me with a knee injury. Both are super knowledgable about body stuff and always offer sensible rehab exercises that you can work into your training. They work well as a team, so you can be confident that whoever you see, you are in good hands. I'm pleased to say that my knee is on the mend and I'm getting back into my old training routine. Thank you Daisy and Jack.

User

I'm not sure what I did before this deadly duo started working their magic on me. As an older member of Pi I had a pack of excuses as to why I couldn't get into certain positions and couldn't complete particular barbell movements ... unfortunately this is no longer the case 😳. I've found hamstrings, I'm using my glutes (first time for everything) and at long last have the shoulder mobility to perform heavy overhead squats !! Jack and Daisy are knowledgable and professional, they can spot poor movement and help you correct it with 121 treatment, group classes and they give you homework. If you want to move better, feel better and lift more, give this pair an email and drop into The elusive PR zone 💪🏼

User

I would just like to say a massive thanks to jack I've not ran for 2 months due to an injury but today after lots of advice and treatment I ran only 5 k but I'm so happy I did what I was told walk run and it was for the poppy appeal so raised money for a good corse thankyou jack see you Wednesday

I met jack nearly 12 months ago when I started at crossfit Pi. I came to him with a list of long term injuries and my body was definitely not ready for the demands crossfit bring. I’ve been lucky enough to do personal training and mobility sessions with jack. I’ve just completed my first crossfit open which I kept very quite as I thought I would not perform in the way that I have due to my lack of mobility. He has supported and pushed me to a level I thought I would never reach. My potential has certainly not peaked but with the support and help of The Movement team I hope to compete again next year and improve on my results. Thankyou for everything jack, without you I feel I would never have faced the open challenge and risen to it!!!

User

I have previously left a review from some great work I had with these 2, however I feel it needs an update! I was fortunate enough to work with them over a 3 month period, where I went in broken (not being able to air squat, couldn't lift my arm up to put the keys in my door!) to hitting snatch and clean PBs, competing at several weekend events like One and All and Tribal, and being genuinely pain free. These guys know what they are doing and are passionate about it. If you have any aches and pains, or even if you don't and want to see how you can improve your sport, send them a message and get booked in. Massive thank you Jack and Daisy, you've got a client for life!

Having been through 10 years of professional rugby my body and hips in particular were feeling the load. I had chronic hip pain on a daily basis and I honestly felt I was beyond repair.

Thankfully I took the decision to look up movement specialists online and get some help. It was the best decision I made and I set up a meeting with Jack. He was friendly, extremely professional and very honest about a realistic plan to get me back on track. I was very impressed and excited to get moving better.

We went through all aspects of rehabilitating my movement and even pushed as far as enhancing sport specific movements for my position on the rugby field. We also coupled up with Daisy for some hands on treatment through the programme and the results of their tag team effort were outstanding. In an off season of training with them I had gone from chronic pain and unable to squat, to reaching PB's with my squat and zero pain in any movement.

I cannot recommend Jack and Daisy enough. Having seen their work rate and genuine passion for successfully helping their wide range of clients, I am very grateful to have worked with them and will continue to seek their advice going forward.

Thank you guys and keep up the awesome work.

User

Have been to both Daisy and Jack for different injuries and they fixed me up a treat. Two of the friendliest, most knowledgeable, and effective practitioners in their field of expertise. Can't recommend highly enough.

User

Excellent service from these two. Daisy definitely has the healing touch that hurts so good! And Jack knows all the tricks to getting the most out of an old decrepit body such as mine. I definitely recommend these guys for (1) strength and conditioning coaching, (2) mobilization and (3) recovery either from long-term injury or short-term muscle soreness.

User

Definitely recommend Jack and Daisy. I'm doing the upper body mobility course-they are very knowledgeable and help you through the mobility exercises. I'm hoping I will be able to lift more overhead once I've finished the course! :)

User

Currently being helped to move. The results are worth the suffering 100% would recommend 👌🏻

User

Can't rates these guys enough. They are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely care about what they are doing.

I've worked with them on a couple of occasions, firstly to improve my general mobility (particularly overhead) and more recently to help with a little knee injury I picked up. No doubt I've recovered faster than I otherwise would have.

User

Both Daisy and Jack have together helped me to get back from being broken in half with broken ribs to competing in my first weightlifting competition in 2 weeks. They really are the best 👌🏽✌🏽

User

An historical C5 discectomy with fusion & habitual bad driving position ((around 30k a year for work) leaves me with a weak/sore shoulder and neck area which I've been used to for years together with limited mobility, until that is I met Daisy & Jack!

I didn't exercise enough & wanted to join Crossfit but was worried about the implications on my neck. I need not have worried, they explained what I needed to do so as not to aggravate my neck during sessions, and assured me I would be ok attending normal programming workouts.

I have been doing Crossfit for 18 months now & Jack & Daisy have worked on me throughout this time offering lifting advice & working on soft tissue repairs when needed. I don't need to go as regularly now due to the lifting techniques they've shared & their enthusiasm & passion for their job & sports is absolutely infectious! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - especially when you know you are broken!

User

A true crossfit miracle just occurred!! More than when I got my DU’s... finally stringing my T2B together and it’s pretty easy when ya know how Felt awesome after years of trying and all thanks to one half hour session with Jack Ailsby-Fish at The Movement Co. Feels awesome, the lads a genius...totally recommend them to anyone
