Tonight at the club we have Low Profile. An excellent duo playing all well known tracks.

Just for clarity the monthly quiz will be next Friday the 1st of November.

Tonight at the Pennycross we have Levi Cruz singing. Top performer and great guy.

We are pleased to announce that from now on thw club will be opening at 11am on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's.

This Friday at 8pm we have a karaoke night!!

Tomorrow morning we will be opening and serving from 11am for England's first Rugby World Cup game.

Tonight at the Pennycross we have up and coming Plymouth band Vacant Lot. Tomorrow at 7pm Levi Cruz will be performing his usual classic hits for Bank Holiday Sunday.

An update on the refurbishment of the club. The carpet pattern has been chosen and a meeting has been arranged with the interior designer at Lang & Potter. This is early next week and she will advise on colour scheme's for the walls and more importantly the upholstery fabric for the seating and chairs. The original fabrics we thought were limited and have requested multiple choices which they were happy to offer. The company has a lead time so a date for the upholstery and su...pply of the tables and chairs will be approximate at this time. The walls have obviously been stripped and some replastering work will commence soon, also the dance floor will be being sanded back to the wood and revarnished which needs doing before any upholstery work due to the amount of dust that will be created. The varnish will match the wooden panelling around the tops of the current seating which may be a slightly lighter shade than it is now. Much of the work has been carried out by members who are proffesionals at the required tasks and as such the cost up to now has been lower than the equivalent quote from Lang & Potter. We have been very aware of the overall outlay and whilst the day to day running costs has been perhaps slightly higher than anticipated since April the club is in a sound financial position and we are happy to commence. We hope to complete by the end of September which is within the timescale we anticipated at the AGM. It will be superb when completed and there will be a nice surprise regarding one area of decor that will be relevant to the club. Many thanks.

Very sorry to post that within the space of two days both this Saturday's band and next Saturday's have cancelled. There won't be entertainment tomorrow but I will get an act in for the 10th. Tomorrow there will be a free pool table and jukebox (as is the case every Friday).

Tonight at the club we have our monthly quiz hosted by our secretary Claire and tomorrow night the superb band Rusty Angels.

Saturday 31st August the club is organising a day at Newton Abbott races. We have a coach that can carry 49 people but are basing the £10 fee on 40. Anything over will be raffled off via a football scratch card. Any less and there will be a small extra charge. Entry to be paid at the course is £22. At this moment in time it is members only and it isn't viable to take reservations via Facebook. A poster will be on diaplay to add names at the club from this Friday evening and the £10 to be paid to a member of bar staff who will record it.
