This is our first Supper Club and we're very excited.
So, what's a Supper Club?? We wanted to create a social evening for people living locally to come and enjoy some great food and drink, as well as meet new faces and neighbours in the area.
For one night only, we're going to push tables together to create one, long communal table - banquet style.
... Whilst the menu has not been set, it will be fresh and seasonal and we'll offer a choice of 2 courses for £14.95. Dessert options can be ordered separately on the day. We will also be offering FREE draft ales/lagers/ciders... until the barrels run out! What a bargain!!!

Another stunning morning ❤️

I feel like I am on a boat this morning. Fire lit, food being prepared, coffee machine almost ready.......... it’s going to be a fun cozy day in the pub and I am excited 😊

We had the best seat in the village yesterday to watch the amazing weather yesterday. ❤️

Staff training / tasting yesterday of some of the new dishes. A delish baron bigod with truffle (posh English award winning handmade cheese) on sourdough, a lamb hotpot, a potato pithivier (veggie pie) and a vegan broth 😍 😋❤️ OML yummy!!

We have had a number of enquiries regarding if we sell vouchers and the answer is a big giant YES.

The other night was so peaceful. After a very long day, looking out over the water made me feel like I was on holiday ❤️

Great day for #birdwatching along the #estuary. We were joined by some #birdwatchers last week who ate and watched with their #mealwithaview from our #setmenu ❤️they even brought their binoculars which I thought was #genius ❤️

we moved to devon 4 months ago we went in there yesterday and had the crab starter which was really nice you can see why it was so busy would recommend it to anyone in the area

Wow! Garth and his gang have done a marvellous job restoring and reworking this old Appledore pub. Tastefully decorated throughout in battleship grey with "steam-punk" fittings, there is a sense of both space and cosiness as you enter. The snug on the left will be a fought-after spot in the winter. The upstairs area incorporates a restaurant area, a covered area overlooking the estuary and an open area. A marvellous place for our post-lunch pint. We didn't eat but the menu looks great, very reasonably priced and changed every day to reflect catches/seasonal stuff. We will be back!

Went for my brother's birthday meal and was so impressed. Great service, amazing food, fabulous views, fairly priced, while still keeping the spirit of the George from before with some of the original furniture. Recommended to a number of people already :-)

We just paid our first of hopefully many visits to The Royal George. They were full but the staff were still incredibly helpful and attentive. The food was out of this world - the sea bass was amazing, as was the chocolate marquise. I can’t wait to go back.

We had Sunday lunch here today (2Ad, 2Ch) Absolutely delicious food, friendly staff and even though it was raining the view was still stunning from the restaurant . Thank you for making this a lovely birthday treat for me too. Feeling full and relaxed now - perfect �

Pleassssse continue to be consistently amazing as very often new places start out great and then standards start to drop and corners are cut. I absolutely love having this on our doorstep and will continue to support it I just hope other locals do too, especially off peak!

My husband and I booked a table for 4 last night, and our table was booked for 7pm. When we got there, we were greeted straight away, with a smile and shown to our table. the service was 1st class, and the food was just amazing, and the views from the table where we were sat were breath taking..The place itself, is also amazing, beautifully laid out, plenty of space, and everything was just wonderful. The service, food, the place, and the views. and the prices are very good to. Well worth a visit. Ist class all the way. and we will defiantly be coming back again..Thank you

Just had a perfect Sunday lunch, my roast beef was possibly the best I've ever tasted, others in our party highly praised the lamb. Puddings were great too especially the sticky toffee pudding, plum and apple crumble and panacotta with roasted peaches and pistachio.The view from the upstairs balcony on the water's edge is fantastic and the bill very reasonable . Can't wait to come back.

Excellent meal last night. We were keen to try the new Royal George after hearing so many good things about it and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff attentive and friendly and the view from our table absolutely stunning. Looking forward to our next visit!

Birthday dinner with family - absolutely fabulous food & friendly service. Catch of the day (lemon sole) melted in the mouth, & Home made soda bread just yummy, to mention just two things.

Beautiful renovation, stunning views which are only going to get better when the upstairs opens. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was so tasty, freshly prepared and great presentation. Beats every other restaurant in the area.

Gorgeous food, beautifully presented like a work of art on the plate. We had booked and were swiftly shown to our table, drink orders were taken and fresh sourdough bread was brought out. It seemed we were then forgotten about as we were waiting a long time for menus. In the end we asked the staff for menus who apologised and thought we had already received them. After that we were looked after very well, food was brought out promptly and nothing was too much trouble for the team. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back soon.
