The Sign Maker is a family run business hidden away in rural Devon. It was started by Shaun Price and began just making small oak signs. It is constantly growing and has recently moved into new workshops and invested in new machinery. It has dedicated workshops for woodwork, stone, engraving as well as a print room housing the latest wide format printer.

The wood workshops uses a lot of different timbers - oak, sapele, iroko, douglas fir, red cedar, balau, sycamore and opepe. Each has different properties and is suited to particular situations. Sign Blanks, backing boards and other wood signage is made for other sign makers.
