About Titchfield Youth Theatre
Titchfield Youth Theatre meets weekly on Saturday mornings and provides tuition in all areas of stagecraft and drama, delivered by very experienced tutors. There is a great emphasis on fun, and the children enjoy the sessions and are very enthusiastic. They thoroughly enjoy performing and when they do they are very disciplined in their approach to performance and an
absolute credit to themselves. All the children are involved in all performances. Age range approximately 8 to 16.
"In TYT's first major production the youngsters were enthusiastic, focused, showing discipline and teamwork, good movements to portray their make-believe images, (such as the creation of the carriage and the chariot), clear voices and potential for development was in evidence. "
Since their first success, TYT have achieved critical acclaim for their performances and last year (2012) received two nominations at the Curtain Call Awards in Southamptin

John's plays are on this week at TFT - 24th-29th - some TYT members and leaders in the casts - please do come along your support will be very much appreciated. Suitable for school year 8 and above and of course us adults.

If any of you parents/carers or older past members are interested in volunteering at Titchfield Festival Theatre there are many different aspects you can be involved in from helping behind the bar and box office to helping with the technical/production side such as lighting, sound, stage management etc. They are holding an induction evening for the Technical side soon so if you fancy finding out more please come along - details below.
The date for our Technical Training In...duction Evening is Friday the 20th of March.
It will take place in the Oak Theatre, St. Mags at 8pm.
The session will last for about one and a half hours and will give a basic outline of the 6 courses available, which are
Lighting Sound and video Stage Stage Management Wardrobe Props
After hearing all the information you will be invited to sign up for the course(s) that interest you most. These will have 4 or 5 sessions and when completed you will receive a special TFT certificate that will allow you to join the Technical Team as a qualified volunteer.
We will be holding these courses throughout the year so if you cannot make the first induction do not worry, there will be future opportunities.

Looking forward to our younger members Theatre Trip tomorrow - mini coach will pick us up outside Solent Hotel Whiteley at 3pm and drop us back around 7pm. There will still be a TYT session in the morning usual place and time. See you all tomorrow.
Our Spring Term will start on Saturday 11th January, usual time, at Segensworth Rehearsal Space. Looking forward to welcoming everyone back and excited to start rehearsing our New Plays which will be performed on Saturday 21st March. See you all next week.
