Highest Poppy Wreath in Cornwall.
Myself, Pete and Chris enjoyed a walk up Rough Tor as part of a group laying a wreath on the War Memorial at the summit, as expected for November it was wet and foggy but surprisingly by the time we reached the top it had cleared enough to appreciate the moment and the view.

Setting off on a very wet and misty morning members of the RBL Camelford Branch accompanied by supporters and Camelford's Scout leader climbed to the 43rd Wessex Memorial on top of Rough Tor and displayed the Branch Standard whilst laying a Poppy Wreath the New Poppy Appeal organiser Julian Harman then read the Exhortation which followed with a minutes silence and the last post, Vaughan Williams retiring PAO then let off a rocket.
It's hoped this will become an annual event ...and next year will incorporate local youth groups who can be sponsored to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal.
Thanks go to the following for making it happen.
