LOW MAINTENANCE GARDEN MAKEOVER: CHASEWATER
Squeezed this one in over a long weekend, between contracts. Unusable, gravelled yard transformed into a more functional space within a required budget.
Textured utility paving, with 'broken bond' & recessed manholes, for patio area & pathways (buff in colour, to match existing steps). Small play area laid with Pampus artificial lawn for little Sophie.

Contemporary granite patio installation near Wendron.
Precisely calibrated, smooth finish granite paving used to produce a zero tolerance surface with a 5mm jointing gap (brushed with a light grey jointing compound). Split granite sett edgings finished with a contrasting black jointing compound. Finished with peripheral up-lighters & brushed nickel light bollards for steps

NATURAL SANDSTONE RAISED PATIO with brown slate retaining curved wall. Matching paved wall copings, curved rendered steps with granite sett tread detail. Sithney, Helston.

1. Glendinning Devontex buff patio with a curved granite sett edge to create a functional yet attractive paved area next to a potting shed. Slabs chosen to match existing paved areas within the site.
... 2. Black limestone patio installed at rear of garden to take advantage of an evening sun trap. Retractable posts installed as part of a sail windbreak / screen.
3. Storage area with access installed to side of house. A damp, 'dead end' space has been excavated, weed matted, plastic base grids installed & gravelled. Fence replaced with an over wide gate & front lawn path laid in Devontex buff for weelie bin access.
4. Existing path to front door extended to driveway with Devontex buff paving. Removing a narrow strip of turf that became boggy in winter & allows a little more room when parking.

RAISED COMPOSITE DECKING: Germoe.
6"x2" joisted framework at 400mm centres, anchored to building & 4"x4" posts concreted to 300mm depth pad stone bases.
Trex composite deck board installed (island mist) with hidden fixing system so no visible screw heads etc.
... Anchor posts extended through deck as balustrade uprights (edges rounded, surfaces sanded & oiled). 7mm stainless steel cable balustrade wire installed with contemporary, minimalist tension fixings.
Under deck weed matted & mulched with 20mm granite chippings. Sides & front cladded with composite boarding.

SMALL GARDEN RENOVATION: Helston.
Not many progress images but hopefully you can appreciate the scope of works.
An awkwardly shaped space & a 1m x 1m gully, running length of garden, meant a lot of unused space & a bit hazardous for young children.
... Solution, within budget, was to frame & board the void to create a base for paving & artificial lawn. Used a contemporary grey slab, installed a raised planter / storage / seating unit in a style that matched a new gate & new privacy trellis.

LOOSE CHIPPING SURFACING: Breage
Worn out lawn spaces excavated, weed matting laid & Eco grids installed for stability & load bearing function. New concrete back edgings installed to create pathway, granite chippings laid & compacted level.

LANDSCAPED SUMMERHOUSE AREA: Godolphin.
Builders previously installed base & summerhouse but landscaping was needed to make the area more accessible / useable.
With budget being a factor, the brief given was open up the front area to create a hard surfaced threshold, retain the changes in level , adding steps & create functional access from the house.
... Used green (new) sleepers for walling / steps (& a pair of new vegetable planters). 20mm granite chippings for pathway & surfaces.

Small sun trap cleared, excavated & sub base prepped level (with course of retaining block). Mixture of reclaimed & new slabs on mortar bed & pointed, with retaining block rendered. Lovely.

DRIVEWAY RENOVATION: Trescowe.
Extended concrete back edgings with brick paved garage threshold & new concrete slab.
