We have been to many campsites and this one is right up there!.. We arrived early and spent a hot day at the beautiful local beach..we got to the campsite and received a warm welcome and even extra help from the facilities manager when we forgot our key to our bike locks which were attached to the car- eek! We have a 2 and 5 year old- parks good, crazy golf and pool an added bonus! Loads to do nearby and we have already booked to go back next year! Thanks for a special holiday

User

We came last year to camp with 3 kids and 2 of us fabulous facilities beautiful place clean lots of activities to do. And we’ve booked again coming back in July can’t wait xxx

User

This place was amazing very private and peaceful will be stayin again great stay

User

Stunning place, very clean facilities and nicely stocked lakes ... highly recommended

User

Really pleased we chose Trevella for our holiday. Staff are lovely. Site is clean and well looked after. Only negative is the take away isn’t great. But having an amazing week away.

User

Me and my family love it here. We come every year for Father's Day weekend or the nearst to it and have done for the last 6 years. Pitches are always very well maintained and the staff are so helpful and friendly. It's always so relaxing and chilled out. Shower blocks and toilets always clean. Love love love it, see you next year 😁

User

Just had a 1 week stay camping here. Lovely location, nice size pitches. The staff were very friendly. Lovely play park and small games room that kept our children entertained. They made some lovely friends. Very nice swimming pool, our kids loved it in there. Can't wait to visit again.

User

Just got home from our first stay at Travella. The Caravan we stayed in was lovely spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The park was very well maintained with beautiful, colourful flower beds. Very welcoming. The outdoor pool was clean & warm & the children loved it. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning & would recommend to both families & couples.

User

Just back from 2 weeks in a geodome with my husband and girls (6,3,1). Everyone loved it that much we have already booked for next year. The site is spotless and well kept. Always out cutting the grass keeping it tidy. Nothing was too much bother for the staff at reception. Swimming pool was fab. Any time we went we had the pool to ourselves :). The only thing I think it needs is a bench or some sort of seating for adults in the play area next to the swimming pool. See you again next year.

User

Have just spent a week at trevella and loved every minute of it. This is our second visit to the site and we hope to visit again next year. The staff are very friendly and the site is kept immaculate. The cafe is lovely and the heated swimming pool an added bonus. The showers are a little dated and the grass cutting at 8:30 on a Sunday morning was a little disturbing to the peace but apart from that I can't find any fault. The site is in a great location and the pitches are lovely and big. It is one of my favourite sites.

User

Coming to the end of a lovely week now. Great to be so close to the beautiful Crantock beach and in a fantastic site for wildlife. What a lovely campsite too, clean, well maintained and a lovely (heated) outdoor pool The staff couldn't do enough to help if there were any niggly problems (including providing a brand new dvd so my son could watch the ones he brought from home). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a great family break.

User

Booked a premiere pitch this year to guarantee space as last year on the normal pitches felt like ppl were quite close. This is great if you don't mind that it comingbwoth family and friends and want to be close then it's great for that.

It's our 2nd year and the premiere pitch made it for me. The staff are all friendly and helpful always cutting the lawns and the facilities are great. My sons loves fishing so this is ideal for him with two really well stocked fishing lakes. You have the estuary within walking distance fantastic for dog walking and kids, and a walk away from the beautiful crantock beach. Local to watergate bay, Newquay and fistrel beaches so plenty to do. Our friends stay in the statics which are all really well kept and homely! I would recommend for a holiday on Cornwall.

User

Blown back to home after a great short break in a spotless caravan. Visited by Simon the swan and family - lovely to see them wandering around. The lakes are still beautiful but I was a bit sad to see the state of the woodland part - I took some fabulous photos there last time we stayed but it is not a very pleasant place to walk round now.The staff are wonderful, chatty and helpful. We had a problem with the first caravan but it was sorted immediately and in a very professional way. I was sad to read some of the reviews below. We had a great stay and will return again. Thank you :)

User

A little biased as we have a 6 berth static for rent on the park but the very reason we bought at Trevella is the location and park. Central to all of Cornwall for exploring and adventures. Trevella Park is great or the kids and offers down time for us parents or those couples wanting to chill.

Cant please everyone but most are very happy to stay at Trevella and come back year after year.

User

Nice field for camping. Great location for Newquay and very friendly staff. Was able to check in early. My only issue was that the staff were working on the grounds at 8:30am each morning. There was a tractor and lawn mowers in full swing. A bit too much when you are trying to relax. I also thought the shower and toilet block was lacking in plugs;there was none. I liked it and would return but think staff working around you all day is a little disturbing of the peace.

User

Just come back from Trevella. Touring arrival signs were not visible from the main access point, therefore we missed it and had to reverse back with the caravan.

Pitches are not level at all had to go routing for bricks to level out the van. The roads to the pitches weren't tarmaced, very rubbly, my son hardly used his bike because of this.

I don't understand why they need to mow the grass at 8.30am, a few occasions I was woken up by them. Toilets average, reasonably clean, pool was good. Cafe food was garbage, my friends had ordered pizzas and once they got back to the camp they binned them because they tasted horrid.

The park is missing more equipment, and also there was no seating area in the park, I think possibly a few picnic benches dotted around for parents to watch their children would be an improvement.

I would say the only positive was the entrance was very colourful with all the flowers - but I do think they need to be trimmed back as it would make it better for caravans coming in both directions.

All in all I will not be returning to trevella.

User

Have just returned from a week at Trevella. On the plus side - well kept site, clean & tidy facilities.

Now for the 'not so goods' - weather was horrendous for last 3 days of our holiday, rained continually accompanied by strong gale force winds which resulted in 2 hair raising, scary nights, particularly as we were staying in one of the ready erected tents! I completely understand that the site has no control over the weather but these were unusually extreme conditions for the time of year & I think it would have only be courteous of park staff to check in with us during such awful conditions - just a head round the door to check that we were ok was all that was needed..but No, nothing! We were the only people in a ready tent so it wouldn't seem to me to be an unreasonable request & would have been much appreciated. What made it worse was after seeing that bad weather was forecast I had approached reception earlier in the week to ask about an upgrade to a caravan (I was deeply concerned about my little girl who has recently been diagnosed with asthma which is made worse in wet conditions). Because we had a dog with us the only 'pet friendly' accommodation available was a luxury caravan which I was expected to pay an extra £50 per night for - £300 on top of our holiday price!!! This accommodation was available for the duration of our stay so no money was being made on it..surely a nominal amount could have been agreed to support my child's health..but 'no'... £300 take it or leave it - We, of course had to leave it & make do with the tent. We even had to purchase heaters to try & absorb some of the damp!! With my daughters health failing we were forced to leave early. Did I notify staff - No..they had shown no interest in us throughout our stay!

Anyone considering a holiday to Trevella may also wish to know that resident 'traveller' families are currently located on the site. There has been an attempt made to hide them from public view but they are there with well established accommodation that indicates they are definitley not just there for a holiday! The men come & go daily to "work". This does not set a very good impression on site & would have put me off staying had I have known in advance.

All in all..would I go to Trevella again - No. Would I recommend Trevella - No. Shame really as it's a lovely site but the lack of customer care is a huge let down.

User

Camping for just under a week.

The pitch we were on was on such a slope that whenever we tried to put something on our table it just fell off so it was hard to cook. We couldn't relax as we had to keep moving our chairs so we could find any comfortable position that wasn't on such a slope. It was hard to sleep and we ended up leaving early because we couldn't deal with it anymore.

The showers are not powerful enough and the facilities are very dated. The washrooms were kept clean enough but got dirty very quickly due to people tracking in cut grass.

The site had a lot of litter left by people on pitches and the seagulls made this worse. There was some plastic rubbish near our pitch all week and nobody picked it up.

Whenever I went to the bathroom in the evening it was full of shouting teenagers who decided that was the best place to hang out.

I am so disappointed because it was a very expensive site and definitely not worth the money. I would look elsewhere if you want a camping holiday in Cornwall. The rough nights sleep and everything else ruined my holiday.

I was disappointed with the site as it is definitely not the five star site I was hoping for. I will not be visiting again.

User

The setting and place is fab, customer service is very poor. I paid for a the premium en suite facilities for our touring caravan. Never before have I been on such an even, poorly maintained pitch before. The height that we had to put the caravan to level up was beyond ridiculous...everyone was complaining and the chap in a motorhome had to park lobsided to even stand a chance of his fridge working due to poor levels. I emailed to complain and no one got back to us. I don't expect to walk round a premium pitch walking into thistles! This is such a shame as we absolutely loved the en suite facilities, but you CANNOT advertise these as premium pitches. We also spent approximately 4 hours listening to a dog barking next door that had been locked in a caravan and left. I contacted them re this as well. On checking out from the site I raised the concerns with reception who took my details and said the manager would get back to me regarding this, two days later...still no call. Such a shame...sort your premium pitches out and your management and this would be a fantastic site. I also agree with previous reviews stating the early start of groundsmen cutting large expanses of grass on sit on mowers when really they should be tending the more important areas like pitches!
