Wonderful place. Had many a fond memory visiting with my mum when I was a little girl and now I get to share this treasure with my own children.

User

Wonderful building, great atmosphere and very child-friendly. A great day out! Taking my little girl to see Santa this Saturday, also did a Halloween trip in October and an open day in the summer. Its great because there is something for everyone.

User

Went to a themed child event with my twins (almost 3 years old) and they loved it so thank you very much. . The facilitator was brilliant and my son hasn't stopped talking about her (quite smitten with her as she was dressed up as Anna from frozen!!) . .only thing to please think about is the kiddie meals available . . Very expensive and not great selection . . But the adult food was well priced and yummy. Will definitely keep an eye for future events . Thank you x x

User

We're regular visitors to the cafe & it is a peaceful haven of tranquillity. My 5 yr old daughter has been going since she was 8 months old . The staff are wonderful & It's always a pleasure to pop in. The house has changed a lot in the last 4 decades I've been going but very much for the better. We will continue to be visitors for decades to come hopefully.

User

We were on 1/2 term holiday and my children (9 & 7) are learning about the Tudor so I decided we'd have an educational day. There was a Harry Potter wizard workshop so I booked my Harry Potter loving kids onto it. It was fantastic. The facilitator was great and very much into his professor role. There was lots for my hubby & I to do whilst the kids enjoyed themselves, cafe, exhibits, WWII air raid shelter. The kids enjoyed going round afterwards, explaining to us about Tudor life & dressing up from the clothes box. Great for grownups & kids.

User

Visited yesterday for 6p!! Very interesting range of exhibits. Loved the musicians. Very pleasant staff and nice coffee too.

Where's the mulberry tree??

User

Visited Father Christmas on Sunday, what a wonderful experience. Santa was fantastic, so happy and engaging, the children loved it and hubby and I were very impressed. Loved the craft activities available, the children were thrilled with their reindeer spoon and penguin keyring. Lovely time exploring the house and gardens too. We will certainly be back next year.

User

Very interesting place. They put on some great things for adults and children. Staff are always polite and helpful.

User

Tudor house is a great way to spend time with kids learning about the past also the father Christmas there is amazing makes all kids feel comfortable, welcoming (as are all the staff) spends time talking to the kids. Thank you for another great day at Tudor house.

User

Took my 1 year old, 2 year old and my friends 10 month old. They all had such a brilliant time and I was amazed by how well catered for children it was. Definitely going again.

User

The last time I entered The Tudor House was back whilst at school, I had vague memories of it. Totally loved all the changes and improvements that have been done over the years, happy with the price and the staff that work there are very polite and helpful. Definitely somewhere to take the children, took my 2.5 year old son and hope to take him again when older. Enjoyable day out.

User

My son loved taking the explorer basket round and had a field day in the wonderful playroom.

The staff were all lovely and freindly :)

User

Love it. Staff are so friendly, helpful and well informed. Cafe and garden are delightful and house very interesting. Used to live in Bugle Street so have fond memories of Tudor House and it has now been improved even further! Xxx

User

It costs £5 entry fee and it is well worth it , I had a great time in here and it opened my eyes to when the house was first built and to the restoration of it . A place to visit if your in Southampton . This house must be kept forever

User

I love my lunch time visits to the Tudor house cafe, the staff are fantastic , so kind and considerate and very helpful.

The food is always fresh and tasty , the cafe itself is clean and comfortable.

And if your lucky enough to go on a sunny day you can eat outside in the lovely Garden .I cannot rate this super cafe high enough.

Looking forward to my next visit .

User

I came across it by accident but was wowed by the introduction in the banquet hall. I got there late so I did miss quiet a bit of the building . Afternoon tea was a treat weather perfect staff helpful just wished I had timed it better. Over all awesome.

User

I bring my daughter often to the craft days which are very well organised ,my daughter really enjoys her self every time and is definitely looking forward to next event .

Halloween Event . My girls had a fab time. Staff were amazing and very patient. Great time had been all. Thanks for an amazin evening

User

Had a good walk around the place on Sunday 11th Sept. Been many times and always enjoy it. This time it was free but we'll worth the normal entry fee.

User

Great experience of what life must have been like in such hard times.

Located near Simmel street in which a relative of mine once lived and died (Ellen Wren).

Absolutely fasinating and well worth a look.

User

First time I have been here for many years. Well worth a visit

User

Excellent value for money. Really interesting.Well set out. Helpful friendly staff. Beautiful garden and superb cafe. Will definitely go again.

User

An intriguing story of one of the oldest surviving houses in the country that had been preserved from modern development.

User

Absolutely fascinating place! We have lived in and around Southampton our whole lives but decided to book a tour of the walls and vaults followed by a look around the Tudor House with our daughter (10) I remember visiting the house with my school many years ago and I found it just as interesting as I did then. We used the audio tour and thought it was a great idea! I Would recommend this place to anyone wishing to learn a little more about the local history of Southampton.

User

A really pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. My children (11 and 8) loved it too. Today was completed by an interesting tour of the usually closed cellar and attic. We'll be back in the Summer when it's warmer to properly explore the gardens....

User

A real gem and well worth a visit. Lots of interesting displays. Nice little coffee shop.

User

A hidden gem, lots to see. Enjoyed the atmosphere and was able to follow the comprehensive audio trail with ease. Excellent catering as well.

User

A great place to visit. We spent a couple of hours there. Garden very well presented and very relaxing. Tour around the house is well signed with lots of displays and information signs. Would rate it a 5 star attraction.

User

The experience was quite nice. The automated presentation in the first room was excellent. Relaxed self tour with audio guide was informative.

User

Set in the right location. Talk a walk down the side on Blue Anchor lane. Good area to get the vibe of Southampton 500 years ago.

User

Really well presented, with interesting displays and enough information to keep kids curious and adults engaged. Use of audio guides recommended - They're free and well done. My only criticism is that the introductory film relies too heavily on atmosphere, needs more content. The garden is delightful, and the cafe first rate. We had a huge chicken salad for £5.95 - excellent value. Staff were v friendly and helpful. So all round - a great day out!

User

Really lovely afternoon tea . Selection was good, amazing scones . And very friendly staff. I will certainly go again xx

User

Our first visit yesterday, reasonably priced entry for the tudor house which we thoroughly enjoyed, followed by cream tea for two which was again good priced and a good selection on the menu to choose from, will be going back again in the near future.

Wonderful building, great atmosphere and very child-friendly. A great day out! Taking my little girl to see Santa this Saturday, also did a Halloween trip in October and an open day in the summer. Its great because there is something for everyone.

User

Thank you for all the thoughtful, fun, interactive things around the museum for the children.

My son loved taking the explorer basket round and had a field day in the wonderful playroom.

The staff were all lovely and freindly :)

User

Such a great little hidden gem. My older children are 5 and 3 and it kept them both entertained all morning. Would recommend it to anyone. Entry price very reasonable and the cafe food is delicious.

User

User
