Visited late afternoon on a Friday so the restaurant was quiet. Had a very good steak and cooked as asked for. The waiter was very friendly and the service was excellent. Very good value for money and would visit again.

The woman that showed us to the table seemed pissed off we didn't book a table but I couldn't see anywhere saying that we had to, so that was a little uncomfortable!

The waiter however I think his name was Graham or something, but he waited on us like a pro every time my Pepsi was empty he was there with a new one! He left us to our meals which was cooked beautifully, he was a real friendly bloke and nothing was too much trouble he made the previous women a distant memory.

I was there yesterday evening with my partner. We did not have a table booked but the manager was really helpful. She did not have a table free in restaurant but we were happy to sit in bar. Food was about 25 mins delay but when I enquired it arrived promptly. The manager asked if we would like free desserts because of delay. We opted instead for our drinks being deducted from bill. All round very good customer service.

User

I loved our waitress Fran she was an absolute grafter. Was there at breakfast too. Lovely girl couldn't do enough. My only critism would be too expensive for what you get £80 for 2 adults and 2 children x

User

Bar staff very pleasant, food very good. Our waitress was very polite and quick we ordered from the after 6.30 three course meal menu a different waitress gave us the sweet menu so I asked our waitress for the offer menu we ordered our deserts which were lovely but she gave us the bill £8 overcharged us and said she forgot we had ordered from the offer menu...not good was a bit peeved about that but overall would come back again for sure.

User

Went in for a table for two at 4-15 on Saturday 20th may was told nothing available until 8-15 so left and went back at 8 had meal bit over priced and tried to charge use for onion rings that we never had. Not keen on the place and won't be going again sometime soon

User

We booked a table for my husbands birthday for lunch time,I have to say on entering the assistant had her head in the computer,we said who we were after she looked up and she said uncomfortabley its over there, after a few secs she did show us to our table, her appearance wasn't that good also,James was very courteous and couldn't falt him at all....food was very good though!as a retired customer service manager I feel improvements should be made!

User

To long waiting for the food to come out wasn't busy at all wouldn't eat there again

User

Friday night ribeye good but staff very busy and let the service down. Saturday night steak fantastic but again staff struggled, nearly did not get fed as they were too busy but when complained that we had prepaid through the hotel meal deal we did get served.

User

Food ie toast.juice had run out.

Never got asked if want anymore cooked either after we finished which is bad.

Not the best experience of a beefeater.

User

Adequate. Staff were pleasant and the bar and restaurant are clean and tidy but the food is a little overpriced and not up to much. Visited about a year ago and we were more impressed with what came out of the kitchen. Oh and the whole place was way too warm - fresh air please!

User

This is usually our favourite go-to pub in the local area. We have visited several times and have never had an issue with service, in fact it is usually brilliant. However last night we sat in the beer garden and ordered 3 meals at 5.15pm. We left over 50 minutes later having not received our food (despite chasing and reassurances from the barman that it was on its way). They were very short staffed it seemed. Very disappointed by our experience, and our children were very very hungry Also I was twice overcharged on wine by the glass, being charged for the more expensive sauvignon both times. Such a shame as we are loyal Beefeater customers and recommend this particular restaurant to all of our friends, because of the play area and (usually) great service and food.

User

Over an hour waiting for food tonight ! Booked meal for six so its not as if it was busiest of times . The man serving us was helpful and polite found the bar staff rude ! Busy talking amongst themselves ! Food overall was not good . my girlfriend was told no risotto ! What !! At 6 oclock on a saturday youve run out of risotto ! So she ordered haddock and chips half hour later she was offered risotto as they had found some but she stuck with the fish ! when it finally arrived it was nothing special at all very few chips a lank piece of fish and some over warmed up mushy peas ! My son and i had the minted lamb rump and dauphinoise potatoes ! Why say potatoes when you only get one potatoe ! This dish was delicious but you get so little it is never worth over fifteen pounds each !!! We then waited ages to pay the bill ! Not good !

User

Just terrible.

Starters prawn cocktail . 6 prawns.

Main steak medium rare turned up cremated.

Desert like soup.

I would never waste money in a beefeater again.

I was a lifelong customer I'm a ex Whitbread employee so I was loyal but last night's meal for my parents anniversary was the worst meal ever and I've had some bad ones.

User

Absolutely pants! If anyone goes for buttered milk blue cheese, your be massively disappointed! Your know what i mean.... Not my sort of place to dine, like a bit more quality than over priced microwave meals. So as you can presume, want be going again
