Yet again, great well organised event. Peaks pioneer, 72miles in the tank. 2nd year and lived up to expectations. Bloody hot too! Like to thank the bloke who went by me like I wasn’t there on an ebike. Pointless. That’s only gripe, otherwise well done to staff and all the riders

Very well organised events. Just did my 4th UKCE sportive - this time the group I was with needed support from the crew/medical teams due to an accident. I'm pleased to say the support from UKCE was superb. We were attended by the side of the road by crew and medical staff, then given a lift back to the start - nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who even helped us back to our car with all our kit. Thanks to all your staff. I'm booking straight into the next UKCE sportive as soon as I can. PS - the injured rider is fine now - he is more worried about the scratches on his bike than the gouge out of his knee...

Took part in the Sigma sports Wildcat sportive. Nice start/finish area, great road signage and good feed stations. The first half of the route was very scenic. Very handy having the marshalls at important junctions.

The only thing I would question is the price. £40 is quite steep but having the comfort of mechanical support is maybe worth it?

Rode the Dartmoor Demon with my daughter on Saturday - her 1st sportive. We both had a great day - many thanks to all the event organisers and volunteers, and other riders, who were unfailingly friendly, supportive and helpful all the way round. Signage was spot on (were the orange marks around the potholes on the roads done by the organisers? If so thank you!), and registration and the start were very well run with minimal queuing. Even had good weather! We'll be back.

Rode Wiggle Northern Angel today and got to say absolutely everything about it was fantastic. Really well organised from before the start to the finish. Staff on site, marshals on route, helpers at food stops, all brilliant. Signs, Food, goodies at the end, all fab! I really will be recommending these events to all cyclists I know and I will be back at another event next year. Thank you!

User

Not just a well organised event by wiggle but also all staff are very helpful and friendly Very well sign posted too. You may well think that it cost a bit to enter but the feed stops have a wide range of energy foods/drinks, the merchandise is well worth the money love it!

My 12 year old son and I took part in the Classic Cobbler yesterday. It was our first ever sportive. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved both from the car park attendants to the Marshall's and all the other riders we met on route. We were both slightly nervous to start with but by the end we were grinning from to . Looking good forward to our next one.

Me and my son (aged 12) rode the 26 mile cobbler classic. It was his first sportive and I have to say we both loved this event and he has even asked which one we are doing next. A big pat on the back for all involved in the event. Oh and thanks for even organising lovely weather

User

It was my first cycle event today - the short forest of bowland route - I can honestly say this was the best organised event I have ever taken part in, I felt like a pro! I would be so confident entering another event with you guys, I'm signed up for the epic north west coast in June, I can't wait

User

I've ridden three events with UK Cycling and each one has been excellent. The organisation, communication before and on day was faultless as was the food stops which stock anything and everything required to replenish and stock you for the next part of the ride. I've attended others but they've not been a patch compared to these

User

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the marshals and support mechanics on the Wattbike Falkirk Ride on Sunday; the guys were absolutely amazing. We had several issues en route including punctures, cramps, a crash and ever decreasing morale, but these guys supported us right to the bitter end and got us through the epic course. I have never attended such a well organised event; even the signage was spot on. So well done and thank you!

User

Did the standard (70 mile) Peak District Punisher on the weekend and loved it.

Well organised, laid back atmosphere. The H&S briefing was short and to the point and registration was swift.

The route was amazing; the scenery was outstanding, probably the best I've seen on a bike, and the majority of the roads were awesome. The only exception to this was the re-surfaced part that was not much fun at all on the descent because of loose chipping but that was something we were pre-warned about.

If you like climbing then this route is for you. The initial Sir William Hill well and truly caught me by surprise - a badly maintained chain and cassette didn't help but a few miles in was just too early for my body to cope with 20%+ climbing. That was a real ball buster!!

Wynatts Pass was epic, truly epic and although wholly enjoyable at the time, it's great to have a closed road where you can just focus on the cycling. There were numerous other climbs that tested us - the mega ascent into Buxton was brilliant, despite some drivers having no patience and overtaking in dangerous positions.

Bad points? The few really busy roads in and around Buxton and near where the epic route turned off, those weren't great because of the amount of traffic that was being held up as we climbed. Oh, and watch the descent into Bakewell at the end - lots of afternoon traffic that doesn't appreciate just how fast cyclists can go on a big hill. Make sure your brakes are in top condition for those hills!

Feed stops were great. Loads of food and drink (the Powerbar juice is an acquired taste!) and the staff were friendly. The mechanics were helpful too. All very civilised and a nice respite.

Definitely recommend Wiggle events and this one in particular

User

Did the Watt Bike 40 mile Sportive today, had a lovely time. Great route on quiet roads with challenging hills all well sign posted and a lovely atmosphere. The marshalls & staff deserve a special thank you for standing out for hours in truly gruesome weather. The feed station was well stocked with all needs catered for, the bike wash stocked up with muc off products and the soup at the end were the icing on the cake. Southwell racecourse had brilliant facilities. Shame about the weather being freezing cold & sooo wet but totally worth it, had a lot of fun. Thank you to all involved :)

User

Did the Notts No Excuses sportive Epic route. From start to finish the organisation was excellent. Registering was easy. The route was well sign posted (although I almost missed one turn thanks to a van blocking the arrows!) The soup at the finish was very welcome. A huge thank you to the marshalls who were out in the cold, wind and rain. Without your help these events couldn't go ahead.

User

Did the Carlisle ride today fantastic from start to finish great organisation very friendly both organisers and other cyclists would highly recommend although I only did the 55 mile standard it was quite tough but very enjoyable

User

Did the 40 mile nottinghamshire route as this was my first ever cycling event. Superb organisation, friendly staff and marshals. Really enjoyed the course! Feed station great could have stayed there all day medal, neck tube, socks, muc off bike wash which was a god send for anyone like me without a bike rack and having to put it in the back of the car. Hot soup at the finish, never tasted so good! Would 100% do another UKCE ride.

User

Awesome events for all cyclists with the whole day well organised. To me there are ups and downs during the events. It's just that one of the Off-Road event I've been to was rated as 3.5 out of 5 for its difficulty level when I thought it should have been rated 5 out 5 being the reason was safety for the off-road newbies. Still made it through though :)

User

Yes you would have seen me on my horse I have to say as both a cyclist and a horse rider the common sense approaching an animal a big one at that is none existent with most having no sense of slowing down I had a delightful ride nearly knocking a few out as they didn't listen when we made a point of slowing people down and that the horses didn't like bikes.. it's rather disappointing 90% of the cyclist proving what they are known for taking over the road!

User

Rode the 'Only Way is Essex' sportive (100mi). Loved it, fab ride through Essex and |Suffolk, well marshalled and the feed stops were well stocked and well managed.

I would have given this a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the very rude 'volunteer' at registration.........(Yes, I forgot to bring my helmet to the reg desk, silly me).....'Have you not got your helmet!!'.....(no, not on me, sorry, its with the bike, in the car).........'go and get it then, tsssk, newbies!!' .... ........So I go down and retrieve my helmet from the car, very sheepish like........ when I present it to the charming man at registration I am greeted with another groan and a comment, something like 'That will make you remember next time, eh?' Newbies, tssk, tssk!!

So sorry to have disappointed this Wiggle volunteer with my amateurishness ......but I am afraid to say that I will not be riding any of your events in the future. I can understand that your volunteers have to get up early on a Sunday morning to serve the likes of newboy cyclists.......but hey....if you can't be polite....don't volunteer. XX
