Recently members of our club including, Committee and Team Captains, were lucky to receive vital life saving training from the charity Jay's AIM. This charity was established in the memory of James (Jay) Alexander Osborne, who died suddenly from a cardiac arrest caused by an undiagnosed hereditary heart condition.
The charity has 3 key aims:
Assess - Promoting the different types of cardiac screening assessments available to young people and advertising the upcoming screenin...g events available within the South West.
Inform - Informing young people about cardiac risk and how sudden cardiac death in the young can be prevented, through interactive face-to-face visits to schools, sports clubs and businesses.
Make a difference - Working with the South West's schools, sports clubs, and businesses to make a difference, by providing both basic and advanced CPR/Defibrillator training and automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to the venues most in need.

We hope your exams were as successful as our intramural teams were last term! The stiff shafts achieved an unbeaten netball season and some great results on the pitch, finishing champions of their football league (rivalling the Arsenal 03/04 invincible season). If you’d like to get involved in one of our intramural teams, or any other aspect of the University of Exeter Golf Club then come and visit us in forum on Wednesday the 16th January!💚

The first Alumni Weekend has been arranged for 23rd - 25th November.
Schedule
Friday: arrival in the evening, where we will have dinner followed by a night out at TP.
... Saturday: Train to The Waz where much needed breakfast sandwiches and coffee will be supplied, with the first tee is booked from 11:00. A fish and chip supper will follow golf, then we will venture back to Exeter.
Cost Alumni £30 (Golf plus food) Current Students £12.50

For those still yet to sign up to the first OOM of the year (Sunday 14/10/2018) please like Aidan Gilbert’s post in the ‘University of Exeter Golf Club 2018-19’. OOMs are a fantastic way to meet new people whilst proving yourself to one of our 6 team captains, as teams are not fixed and will change based on current performance throughout the year💚
