Veterans Expeditions Overland - V-Ex Overland Description
VIA is a charity based just outside of Andover, Hampshire concentrating on supporting veterans dealing with the effects of war or more commonly known as PTSD. We are currently embarking on a massive project whereby we are building several Land Rovers ready for an overland experience to take veterans back to the areas where they have served us. Through out the project we aim to help Veterans get their confidence, self esteem and pride back. We want to get them out and involved with what we are doing. Pleased to announce we will be setting off on a Recce Overland Expedition to the Pyrenees on September 04th 2019. The recce will be for us to find the best routes through the Pyrenees starting on the Spanish side and through Andorra before crossing over to France.
Once complete we will be running this 16 day expedition twice a year for veterans who have suffered the effects of war.

On an expedition in 2018 our Land Rover Discovery 1, CHRISTIE met an unfortunate end when it left a mountainous track in Bosnia and rolled 7 times down a hillside causing sever damage to the vehicle. The main thing was that the three veterans in the vehicle were unharmed.

This episode shows the Land Rover Discover 1 being prepared to have the new wing kit fitted on and some new panels being welded into the drivers footwell.
