Everyone say hello to our new Auxiliary Nurse, Chloe! Chloe is hoping to start her nurse training later this year and has always known that veterinary nursing was for her! She confesses to LOVE puppies and has two cocker-poos at home. In the spare time Chloe is either out walking her fur babies or chilling out with them at home. Chloe can usually be found on our reception desk or helping out in the wards (especially with patient cuddles)! Welcome to the Vets Klinic Team! 🐾

Tip 1: Dental diets for cats and dogs
Dental diets are specially designed to help reduce plaque and tartar formation by two main methods:
Mechanical action. This is where the biscuit has been designed to not break until it reaches the animals gum, which helps to promote a scraping action on the teeth, similar to a brush.
... The second action used in dental diets is a chemical action- an additive called sodium poly phosphate. This additive works by mixing with the saliva to help produce an environment that is unfavourable to bacteria and will help to stop plaque formation 🐾🦷

It's National Dog Walking Month! Walking is not only good physical fitness for us, its great mental and physical stimulation for our dogs well!
We thought it would be a great time to share some fabulous local dog walks, as well as ask everyone to share their own favourite walk that might not be quite so well known. Tell us about your favourite walks below (and don't forget to share a pic πŸΎπŸ“Έ )

🐾 Meet our new auxillary nurse, Lauren! Lauren started with us just before christmas as an auxillary nurse and is planning to start her Veterinary Nurse training this year. Born and bred on a farm, Lauren has nearly every animal you could think of at home, but thinks of herself as a dog person more than anything else. She is a self proclaimed shopaholic, loves chinese food and traveling- Uganda is her favorite visited country. Lauren has fitted in really well to the Klinic team and we know all of you will love her too 🐾
