A big thank you to all of our clients for their understanding over the past 3 weeks; the current Corona virus situation has been a real challenge for everyone.
We are asking that our clients continue to help us by keeping our telephones as free as possible so that we can deal with emergencies and urgent cases.
If you need a repeat prescription or flea and worm treatment we ask that you email your request to:
... Torquay@vets4pets.com
A member of our team will then be able to help you with this.
Thank you again for your support and understanding.

So after seeing all the news reports this morning, this should help clear things up a little for all your pawsome pals and family members

It's time for a new profile picture.... Show us how your crazy pets are coping with social distancing (I know mine has no concept of personal space πŸ˜‚). One picture will be chosen at random on Sunday 12th

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE.
OPENING HOURS To help keep our clients safe, we have reduced the number of staff members coming in to the practice from 14 to 6. To allow us to provide essential services to our clients and patients, this small team has to work 6 days a week for the next four weeks and possibly longer. To help sustain this, we have to reduce our opening hours: Monday - Friday: 09h00 - 16h30... Saturday: 09h00 - 12h00 Sunday: CLOSED If you are in a household in which both partners are key workers or if you are a single parent living on your own with your children and you cannot get to us within these hours, please phone us during OPENING HOURS and we will see what arrangements we can make.
EMERGENCIES OUTSIDE OF OPENING HOURS
Our emergency service is available as usual. We only have one vet that can be on call and they will need to be available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in addition to working their 6 days a week. One person can only do so much. DO NOT phone outside of our regular opening hours unless you have a real emergency otherwise we may not be able to sustain our emergency service during this crisis.

IMPORTANT!!! CHILDREN HAVE TO STAY AT HOME!!! We know that they really want to come with to the vet but we can only allow one person into the consult room at a time which means your child then sits unsupervised in our waiting room - at risk - while you are in the consult room. If both parents are key workers or if you are a single parent who has to stay at home with your children, please phone and we will arrange for you to wait in the car with your children while we take yo...ur pet in to the practice.
DO NOT FORGET YOUR PAYMENT CARD We may have to take payment from you over the phone and we can't accept cash, in general, at the moment.

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE
The ROYAL COLLEGE OF VETERINARY SURGEONS and the BRITISH VETERINARY ASSOCIATION has put out a statement to say that the health of people must come first. We agree with this and we do not want to put you at risk by doing things that really can wait without putting your pet at undue risk. Vets also share some vital medical supplies with human hospitals and whatever medical supplies we use now, may not be available to help save the lives of people later. To ...

It's Friday, it's nearly Mother's Day, we all need a little cheering up. Let's post those pictures of mums and their fur baby's!

During these troubling times, it inevitable that everyone will be buying extra cleaning products to ensure minimum chance of cross contamination. Please check these products ensuring they are safe for your fur family and if not keep them out of reach and locked away. We may be using many new products that we wouldn't normally use as our go too products are not available. If in doubt read and dilute the product as the instructions state.

Becks daughter popped in after school and fell head over heels for little Bentley. He didn't mind one bit and spent the next hour being cuddled and kissed. Becks had to make sure he didn't end up in her pocket on the way home 🐾🐾

What a lovely photo of AD our senior surgeon and Jaime our practice manager at our end of year meal. Everyone had a great time. Just goes to show it's not all work!
