Whatever is troubling you, therapy provides a confidential space in which you can talk about anything you are facing.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, and I am a registered member of the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for counselling professionals.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked with young people who suffered from attachment disorder after suffering from traumatic childhoods resulting in emotional and antisocial behaviour. Working with these young people and helping them to make connections between their early years and how it affected their later behaviours was an insightful experience thus spurring me on to a counselling foundation degree course to further my knowledge and ability to use with others.

I counselling sessions for individuals face to face on a short or long term basis to help them overcome such problems as:

Addictions, especially to drugs, alcohol, gambling and sex
Eating disorders
Difficulty in controlling anger
Anxiety and panic attacks
Depression
Unhappy relationships
Work stress
Trauma
Bereavement and loss
Abuse – sexual, physical, emotional
Adoption issues
However, not all problems can have a subject heading, and if life is hard for you but you can’t explain why then we can work that out together.

My approach is to foster lasting change and growth in a warm and therapeutic relationship based on trust and respect. Depending on the nature of your presenting issue, I may incorporate elements of different approaches to suit your pace and preferred way of work:
