Summer time is our season and barbecue is our bag! Love the sun? Soak it up outside on our terrace, not such a big fan? Cool off in our fully air conditioned restaurant, either way come and let our pit masters show you what’s cooking today.

Wow what an amazing place. Food was brilliant. The challenge was epic with two challengers from our table of ten being defeated by it. The staff are amazing and wanted to chat and no about us. We were really lucky and got to meet one of the guys who is the brains behind this amazing venue. We will be back on the 23rd December for another birthday and to help kick start our Christmas celebrations!! Thanks guys for a great night!!!

Went into today and had a hot dog and fries meal and it was great! Really tasty, will be back

We popped in for an early lunch and had great service, the guy serving was very polite, friendly and knew his menu and drinks. I chose 'The Altar' which is a good plate for carnivores, Chicken, ribs, brisket, fries and slaw! We also sampled the burger and a kids meal... oh and must not forget the burnt ends, they were delicious just like the other dishes! This is a great place to eat and could imagine it's a great atmosphere when busy. 5* We'll be back for more!

Popped in tonight with the missus to try this new place on Gloucester Road. What a great find it was too. You know when you read the menu and want to order everything you’ve made a good choice for your dining needs. A lot of people talking about the burnt ends and glad to have finally had the opportunity to try them. Delicious. Went for the half rack and “The Alter” Main which again had us drooling on arrival. The food is just as good as the concept and this restaurant is very much suited to the area it’s in. Will be back for sure

Loved it. Had a great meal..... Burnt ends to start then a Hex dog. Service was great. Would definately recommend and will be back again!

Happy to report that any teething problems we’d read about appear to have gone! We had a great time! Burnt ends and wings to share as starters, followed by 6x The Altar (brisket, pulled pork, bacon steaks, ribs, chicken wings with slaw, fries and pickles) and some good old fashioned rock n roll through the speakers. Staff were courteous and a good laugh. Happy to be living right across the road. We’ll be back �

Had the brisket chilli... amazing. You have to try this place - it’s so different it’s hard to describe, but the food put a massive grin on my face.

Had one of their Smokey boxes with spicy sausage for lunch, good value at £6 for a box with plenty of food and all delicious :) the meat is cooked just right with a good amount of spice :) would definitely recommend! :)

Had dinner with friends here last night, as had already been to Voodoo-Q at the Hare in Cirencester and new it was delicious!! The first thing that you see is the amazing street artwork that adorns the ex/internal parts of the restaurant giving it a great feel. But this is nothing compared to the friendly welcome and brilliant service throughout the evening. They were very happy to provide information about how hot dishes were and the chilli cider, as well as have a bit of a laugh and put up with others changing their minds on what to eat (as there's so many mouth-watering choices on the menu!).

The food very very tasty, especially the burnt ends and squid for starters and the mumbo jumbo burger and smoked half chicken for mains. The choice of deserts was great, but what was excellent was that they do a MINI-DESERT, which is half a main desert plus any coffee for £6. We all thought it was a great option because you know how you always want a desert or a coffee, but can't manage a whole one - well this is the best of both worlds!!!

Overall great service, great food in a great venue at a great price - so get yourself down there!!!

Currently sat having a beer after what can only be described as EXCELLENT!! The food, staff and environment is amazing!! Booked in for a 2nd visit too! Meat eaters come here for an amazing meat feast at an amazing price!!!!!

Amazing lunch boxes! Great price for portion size and gorgeous presentation with little sliced chillies, bright pretty slaw (no mayo phew!) and pickled cucumbers. Burns Ends on the side are a must too, absolutely delicious!! ���

A+ spontaneous lunchtime feast! I had dirty fries with brisket chili and a side of mac 'n' cheese and it was GREAT. Not overly pricey, quality food and super-friendly service - we'll definitely be back. 😁

Popped in for lunch today - we live locally and had been meaning to try it as it has good options for my vegetarian son. Service was great and thought the food was very good value for money as there was lots and lots of it. My pulled pork was really nice and the sweet potato fries were lush. I really liked the decor and music, although we were the only ones there so it was lacking in atmosphere (although 2.30 on a Sunday is probably quite a dead time.) We would definitely go back.

was very much looking forward to eating here but was left disappointed.

Advertised as 11am-11pm walked in at 5.50 and told they where closed and don't open til 6.

but did say we could have a drink while we wait.

ordered starters and was told the chef messed the orders up ordered wings for starters and got buffalo cauliflower even tho we was the only 2 people in the restaurant.

ordered the altar which was OK but not wow tasting.

ordered another drink which the waiter got wrong again.

Didn't feel relaxed as was constantly asked if we wanted drinks/.

All round experience felt underwhelmed.

Visited tonight. Long wait before orders were finally taken. OK, only one member of staff serving front of house, but he only had six tables seated and under service when we sat down.

Service was good and waiter friendly. Food served reasonably quickly, but burger was too overcooked and really dry. Bread bun also dry and I would suggest not fresh today.

Disappointing really as we had been looking forward to visiting this new place for a while.

So many burger joints in Bristol right now that competition is fierce. Sorry to say that I wouldn't recommend this place over several others I could name not too far away from here.

The service and atmosphere was fine. Just food lacked flavour. I had the altar an some chicken wings to start. And it all tasted pretty much the same. Very bland. Only good bit was the mac and cheese.

I wouldn't hurry back anytime soon.
