6X and IPA took a little holiday to go and see where the hops that give them their fantastic flavours are from.
Newnham Farm grows the Fuggles and Goldings hops that provide 6X and IPA with their wonderful taste and aromas!
Richard and the team took us on an exclusive tour of the unique processes that go into growing, picking, and packaging the hops that go into so many of the beers we know and love.
... This is an extremely busy harvest period for the team and we would like to say a huge thank you from us all at Wadworth for what they do!

a great place to visit, friendly staff, and fantastic beers

What an amazing tour. Really informative and funny plus also learned a few things about Devizes itself. John our tour guide was an absolute star too- I’d go back just for a pint at the bar with him! Great value for money and definitely go for the pie option.

User

We did the tour yesterday. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable about the brewery and the beers along with a good sense of humour. Enjoyed the tasting afterwards and would highly recommend the pies. ÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩ

Used to drink 6x when I was younger. Was diagnosed with coeliac 2 years ago after a tour in Afghanistan and thought I'd jacked in my ale drinking day until today. Found 6x gold in a pub. So chuffed. A real good authentic tasting ale that's GF.

User

Treated hubby to the tour as a father's Day gift. Our tour guide was Becky. She gave a very informative tour around Wadworth brewery. So interesting to find out all about the history, the ingredients and the process. The proud heritage that is still being carried on through the family. Such an insight into how they have grown and developed. Especially the Sign Writers section. A great tradition upheld. ! (Only downside is we didn't get to see the Shire horses as they were at The Three Counties show. )

Generous samples of the beer were on offer at the end of our tour. I enjoyed the sanpling. Even though I am not a beer drinker. Such great value for money! Even the gifts available in their shop were most reasonable too. Highly recommended experience

User

This was a birthday treat for my husband , we both enjoyed the tour and guides knowledge we were both fascinated . Well worth the trip excellent üòÄ

User

Really great tour the guide was great very interesting to find how master brewers do there magic and at the end a very good tasting session all in all a great tour thank you

User

One of, if not the best, brewery tour I’ve done. Our host Lyn was lovely and very knowledgeable and passionate about Waddys beer.

I loved the contrast between the old brewery and the new, well new equipment in an old building.

Plus it’s great to see an independent brewery thriving.

It’s also great to see, in this day and age, a brewery that’s sticking to tradition, even though in must effect their bottom line, I’m referring to keeping the drew horses and carts to deliver beer locally and keeping a team of three artists to hand paint the pub signs. Oh and I almost forgot- the very generous tasting at the end. Thanks for a great afternoon.
