We are halfway through our annual holiday.

My 7yr old autistic son enjoys his daily stroll to the on site shop to see Sue and Lize. They are both fantastic with not only my son, but other children and families. They always enjoy a natter.

From our first day, Sue noticed that my son has mobility problems, and has allowed him use of the disabled access at the shop.

We will miss these friendly faces when we leave.

Just got back from our first visit to waterside and it won't be our last a lovely holiday park with a good sized pool and within walking distant to the beach we did have a problem with the cooker but that was sorted quickly staff were lovely kids loved it as did we and a bonus we could bring the dog can't wait to stay again!!

User

It's one the best holidays to come. You in walking distance of a beach. Everything you need on site. A shop. Pub. Entertainment for the kids and adults. Lovely size park for children. Not far from brixham or Torquay... stayed in siliver plus. The take dogs also. And the vans are really clean and tidy. Lots provided in the vans. Nice sizes to. Perfect to come anytime of the year. If you are coming closer to the winter then bring a onesie it can get cold if you don't have a gold caravan with central heating

User

I spent the may bank holiday here at waterside it is a great place with a really great view of the coastline and you can actually see the old steam train pass the site I recommend you all try the waterside caravan park as it is a wonderful place to stay staff are very helpful and im off there again myself I have a reservation for this September and have a gold reservation I booked especially for my birthday weekend

Have been coming to waterside for the past 15 years as my partner used to come here as a child so it has lots of memories for him. We only really use it as a base as we are always out and about. Unfortunately it's becoming more about ownership than customers and that's really sad no shop anymore it's in the reception and some of the caravans need updating. But as long as it's open to the public we will keep coming back

User

Arrived yesterday and so impressed with how clean the caravan was and the staff are extremely helpful always willing to offer a hand. The food at the smugglers bar as been incredibly good.

User

We unexpectedly stayed at the park last weekend. We arrived at a campsite we had booked just down the road only to find it flooded. After desperately ringing round I got through to your park and we can't fault the staff. They were extremely helpful and a couple of hours later we were in a bronze caravan. It was very clean and well equipped (And after expecting to be in a tent for the weekend it was heaven). The park was lovely and clean and although we didn't have time to use the pool it looked very inviting. We will definitely be coming back, this time with a bit more notice.

User

Not much to do in the park itself as in takeaways etc shop closes early but saying that for two yrs we have stayed there it's so near the front and convenient to many places there is an area just before which has kebab shops etc and a coop which handy plus the prices for hols are great would def recommend it and would def go there for the third time

User

I’ve just been back here for the second time. The facilities and caravans are really good and you get what you pay for! The entertainment is not the greatest, a bit same old same old every night. But there’s plenty to do in and around Paignton and Torquay which are easily and quickly accessible via bus or car! However Miss Sixtys who was on this weekend was really good! Will definitely be going back one day.

We have been going to this site for the past few years, we don't book through the site we hire a private owned caravan which is beautiful with sea views, I would say this site is best for couples not much going on for kids no indoor pool play ground not up to much, its also very steep so no good for people with wheelchairs, mobility issues etc.. the club is always quiet when we have been only went in for the Bingo to be honest drinks are also expensive, the food is ok for a quick bite but not fantastic. We wont be going back this year as the caravan hire is getting expensive so trying another local site this year which is a shame. im sure we will return back at some point as we do like the location.

Visited in August 2017.

Very friendly service, beautiful location but park itself is a bit of a shambles.

Staff are thin on the ground and reception don't seem to know what they are doing.

Payed extra for early checkin which was a waste of time as caravan wasn't ready & had to go back to reception to complain.

Cleaner came and looked worn out & was complaining with everything she had to do.

She left, & it was still dirty so I bleached floors & toilet/ shower myself.

Out & about on the site, outdoor pool was good, the playing park wasn't very nice for kids.

Lovely to see the steam train go past the camp & we took advantage of This & had a lovely day out.

I probably wouldn't go back to this caravan park, which is a shame as it is in a beautiful location.

User

Staying on site in a private caravan, just fancied a pint in the nearest bar. Popped to one on site to be told that you can't buy a drink without a pass! I don't want the entertainment or pool just the odd pint so local pub it will be for the rest of the week. I thought the site would like my money, it's only a bar nothing more!! I don't have young children but if I did I'd be disappointed as the play Park is terrible. We won't be coming back!

User

Good location. We had a gold van, must say we have had better golds. Smelt a bit damp & musty. Bit of mould on nets mould around outside of shower , I cleaned the mirrors my self. Shelvings were very dusty, the poor girl who was Cleaning It when we arrived said she had been in there 2 hours cleaning as the people before trashed it she needed more time or someone to help her. Also no where to store ,put things in the bathroom . Probably won't stay at this site again. On the plus side, the staff i spoke to were lovely.

User

I will first say that I loved the location of this park. There was a lovely costal walk almost right on the doorstep. We were close to the zoo and food shops which was great. Staff in the reception seemed friendly, we popped into the cafe once staff didn't acknowledge us, food seemed quite expensive but there is a chippy about 5 minutes down the road. In the kitchen of our caravan we found a casserole dish which was very dirty and no baking tray to cook on. The caravan had a very strong smell of cigarettes, didn't smell clean. Our bed felt like it was going to break.

There are some lovely caravans in the park, this is only a review of the budget caravans so my recommendation is to opt for something that costs a little more or upgrade. Overall lovely location, budget caravans just need to be updated or a little tlc

User

terrible site for entertaining children

same thing every night and staff rude it is a ran down site don’t boder you will find better and value for your money nufink to do for the kids bar shuts haft past 10

User

clubhouse needs staff and entertainment all the money people pay to stay there and can only afford to hire entertainment on a sat night luckily Devon is beautiful but will never ever book to stay there again staff was childishly rude to me after saying that expected different entertainment on throughout the week. very unprofessional as they said if we didn't like it to go else where over the mic in front of everyone asked for ice in drinks no ice! asked for tray to carry drinks no trays! whoever owns this park needs to put their hand in pocket and invest into it. kids were very dissopointed was bored until we left the site as nothing to do apart from pool even then if they made a splash had lifeguard blowing his whistle every 5 mins, our caravan wasn't even chained down or the ground even being on a quite steep slope. I've been caravan holidaying all my life and seriously never come across anything quite like it it's a good job there is places to go within the area or it would of ruined my holiday that had been looking forward to for a year.

I would definitely holiday in Devon again just not here!

User

Sooooo disappointed this year!! I stayed in a bronze van last year with my two daughters and had a wonderful clean caravan so decided to rebook for this year, perfect I thought! How wrong I was, arrived yesterday to find our allocated caravan smelt of wet dog, we smelt it as soon as we opened the door, absolutely no way we could stay in there for the week! Off I go to reception to be offered the caravan to be re-cleaned and the carpets washed, sorry we want to start our holiday so eventually they agreed to move us to another caravan. Arrive in new caravan to find this smelt just of dog not wet dog!! And whilst it's not a smell I like unfortunately it is going to have to do for the week as they're fully booked! Had to source bedding as they didn't put it in our caravan, mattress in double bed was covered in stains and dog hair so we did end up with a brand new mattress on this one!

I'm not sure the cleaners take a great pride in their work as the sofas were covered in crumbs from the precious occupants and general dusting left somewhat to be desired.

Caravan is generally dated with lots of little things needing attention part of the window frame is missing in the bathroom?! Lots of the window handles are broken and won't lock on nightlock. We've woken to every window running in condensation. Just really gutted after such a fantastic time last year, I'm sorry we won't be rebooking for next year as the location is brilliant it's such a shame

User

Don't bother writing a complaint about how boring the club house they are not taking on board your views I'm here right now and can tell you your night consists of bingo n quiz all over by 9 30 and even loopy and friends don't turn up all week won't be returning after this visit
