Fancy a grand day out? I'll be on the Flowers from the Farm stand in the Plant pavilion at the Cornwall Garden Society Show, Wadebridge on 6 and 7 April. You can find more information about the show here: https://www.facebook.com/events/210128312 3261229/

Enjoying the spring wedding season, thanks to Jessica and Kiel and Joanna and Ruben for asking me (and mainly Cornish grown flowers!) to be part of your special days.

If you're off to the Chelsea flower show, be sure to seek out the wonderful 'Flowers from the Farm' stand in the floral pavilion. I belong to this group of flower growers and florists promoting British grown flowers, it's our first time at Chelsea...and we've won a GOLD medal!! The flowers for the display have been provided by member growers from all over the country, and the show is the culmination of a LOT of hard graft and growing expertise. Feeling so proud!

Wayside flowers is back! Used mostly Cornish flowers to create bouquets and buttonholes for a very magical Cornish wedding. Spot the fairy hiding in the bridesmaid's posy made for a special little girl.

It's been mighty quiet at Wayside flowers lately, due to me having some health problems over the last few months, been fighting with rheumatoid arthritis. Now on a course of drugs which should hopefully enable me to move more easily and regain the use of my hands. However, my early sweet peas are still in their root trainers and all my lovely flower seeds are still in their packets so there won't be much home grown this year! Many thanks to all my early summer brides who have... been so understanding when I've contacted you to say I'm unlikely to be able to supply your flowers, hopefully I'll be fine for the later summer weddings. And my heart goes out to anyone else battling this scary and painful condition. I'm lucky enough to have a GREAT husband who's supported me 100% but there must be loads of folk having to cope alone. I'll post some flowery pictures as soon as I'm back in action!

So pleased to supply flowers for Zoe and Adam's big day on Saturday. Colour theme was ivory and navy blue with a touch of pale pink. Included flowers from my new cornish garden and some from a grower only a couple of miles from the wedding venue, as well as from further afield. Congratulations to you both!

Thrilled to see these pictures from Catherine and Simon's recent wedding where I provided the flowers. A really lovely couple and a pleasure to work with.

Congratulations to Catherine and Simon on your wedding at Packwood and reception at Alveston Pastures Farm. I loved doing the flowers, here are a few pictures.

Bit of a damp start to 'flaming June' but the foxgloves on the cutting patch in all their pink and cream splendour are keeping spirits bright...

So I wanted to create a light and airy bridal bouquet to compliment the May queen flower crown. Then I was out for a walk and the hedgerows were bursting with 'Queen Anne's Lace'...lovely but notoriously difficult to condition (wilts as soon as you pick it). So armed with a plastic bag and a mist sprayer, off I set. Misted each stem as it was cut, quick home and stood it in a deep bucket of water for a couple of hours...arranged and aded some silky ribbon, ta dah! The old woman sure isn't Queen Anne though!

Fit for a May queen! My 'flower fairy' themed bridal flower crown and buttonholes with all contents out of the cutting garden. Lots of aquilegia in different shades of blue, pink, purple and white, and there's May blossom and Queen Annes Lace in there too.

Some gorgeous greens in the garden now - twisty spikes of telima here with lime green viburnum 'snowballs', columbines and soft acer foliage in a vase with late (and very large flowered) bubblegum pink 'Menton' and orange 'apricot fox' tulips. All home grown. Happy Friday!

White and purple bridal bouquet 'wild style'- first of the season made with all homegrown material - and it smells beautiful!

Tulip time! '50s inspired arrangement in a retro vase.

Camellias galore welcoming spring in Cornwall, here's a bowl of windfalls I picked up from the garden after the storm...

Today's bridal bouquet -a host of golden daffodils surrounding deep blue anemones and iris, collared with a garland of ivy. Been doing a lot of this 'collared' look.

Mother's day vase and pot using soft pink tulips, blue and white anemones, helebores, white scented viburnum and some early flowering currant - all homegrown or British grown. Have also used a few spikes of veronica from Holland. Love the way tulips twist and turn to find their own space!
