This weeks #WednesdayWorkout is a quick cardio blast that's sure you get your pulse racing and your legs aching!

Nice hotel

After reading a few of the reviews left this month I was abit worried we wouldn’t enjoy our stay. BUT i can say after a lovely weekend staying at west cliff we have left feeling completely refreshed.



The Spa facilities were clean quiet and relaxing. They are smaller than offer spa hotels but perfectly adequate for size of the hotel! Add bonus of the lovely outside area so we could enjoy this summers heat wave. We both enjoy a massage included in our booking!



We had breakfast Lunch and dinner at the hotel and we were really impressed with quality of all meals!



Over all great stay please don’t be put off by the odd people who obviously love to complain!!

Hotel on first glance is ok. Spacious family room, big bed.



On closer inspection - you find lots of things that just pull a rating down



For example you look out of room onto a flat roof with lots of pipes and a gritty staff area/entrance etc , not good view, but maybe can’t do much, however added to this was a dirty baby nappy just sitting out there on the roof. The window ledge in the room was all falling off, red lipstick smudged on the wall and bathroom that looks dirty, cracked tiles and really poor shower. Scruffy shower curtain, broken door hinges,cobwebs by the light fitting.



The water from the tap didn’t run cold, was lukewarm, not nice for a drink of water and there were no complimentary water bottles





The paintwork around the room and in the corridors is quite poor.



Not a lot of storage for clothes.



The room was baking hot, but as had children I couldn’t open the bottom windows as they are the kind you can open really wide and fall from. And one window the lock was broken anyway.



Over all ok, I can see that this will soon be a run down hotel without attention



The pool changing room is a bit grotty and there is nothing luxury about the pool.



Breakfast was lovely, bed comfy, lots of space, towels clean and large. The kids loved having the pool and were in it for hours.



I would stay again for convenience but not if looking for luxury

We stayed this weekend for a hen party. We had paid for a package which was supposed to include;

One night stay, use of spa facilities and a 25 minute treatment each, 3 course meal with Pre dinner cocktails and a complimentary glass of wine with dinner and lastly breakfast.



Although we had booked months ago we were all scattered all over the hotel, the rooms were all hot and stuffy with no air con and only one small window opened in our room. The fan supplied didn’t blow cold air further than a foot away. Other than that the room was good.



We waited 15 minutes to be served for a drink even with two men behind the bar pottering around. When I did say something one replied “I thought you were being served”. Clearly not. The next time I ordered drinks I asked for a jug of cocktail and was told it would be bought out to me. Again after 15 minutes I went back to ask where it was to be met by a woman who rudely told me she was making it when she very obviously had been making cups of tea. Another 10 minutes passed and it was finally bought out to me filled with so much ice it just tasted watered down.



After we all ordered food from the very limited variety menu, we asked if we were getting our Pre drink cocktails to which the woman replied very abruptly saying they were being done. When the glasses were bought out they were filled with water where they had been left so long and the ice had half melted. We never received the complimentary wine. I ordered the tagliatelle meatballs which were saturated in sauce and so rich I couldn’t even eat it, the manager himself took my plate away and asked what was wrong and when I told him he just walked away with out so much as an apology. A few of us ordered the hallmark sundae for pudding which is supposed to be ice cream and summer fruits yet they all came with just ice cream with sauce over them!



The cleaning and spa staff are lovely and the treatments were amazing but that is the only positive part of the hotel. Staff are rude and lazy and service is disappointing. I would come back for a spa day but not for food or customer service.
