Looking at, and then picking up poo is something I spend a fair amount of time doing every day.
Clearly this is not the best part of a Dog Walkers job but, as this article explains, it is essential when it comes to keeping an eye on dogs health.

Having moved the time of our enclosed field walk forward this morning, to avoid the heat, all of the dogs enjoyed being able to continue to play thanks to the shade available.
Some also enjoyed splashing in the paddling pool, none more so than Harvey, the cocker spaniel puppy, who joined us for the very first time.
He was teamed up with Trudy, my little Terrier, who is fantastic at helping with puppy socialisation.

Really enjoyed seeing the different choices the dogs made today at the field to help them cope with the hot weather.
Kia, the Alaskan Malamute spent most of her time lying either in or by the paddling pool in the shade;
Bom Bom, took herself back to her cool crate in the van when she had had enough.;
... Whilst Daisy and Marley still enjoyed playing chase and find the treats😀

A total stranger made my day this morning by stopping her car to tell me how, despite not having a dog herself, she would recommend me to anyone looking for a dog walker as she had seen how kind and patient I had been with a nervous dog, helping to build his confidence to a level whereby she now sees him happily jump straight into his crate in my van eager to go for his walk.
As I believe it is a fundamental part of my job to do all I can to help the dogs in my care feel confident and happy It was so lovely to receive such supportive feedback.

A week late but I did manage to take part in “take your dog to work day” today.
Here is Trudy the terrible terrier playing find the treat with Rysa and Bom Bom this morning.

On her first day at the field Rysa made friends with Daisy and Marley and had a great game of chase and then had a splash in the pool to cool down (video to follow)

Today we welcomed the lovely Lurcher, Rysa, into the gang.
What a gorgeous girl she is.
