Today widend experienced another saddened day with the loss of Shiela Bowley a warden on the site for many years and still helped out even when she was poorly , she will be sadly missed and our deepest condolences go out to Colin and her. Family at this awful time RIP Shiela xxxxx

We would like to thank all our visitors during 2018. Our camping and caravan season has now come to an end. What fabulous weather we have all enjoyed and hope to see you again all in 2019.

Dear season pitch holders!
We hope you have had a lovely season with us at Widend. What fantastic weather we have had this summer!
A polite reminder to those who have still not returned their forms advising us if they are staying with us for the 2019 season.... These forms are essential to us to ensure we can accommodate those wishing to move pitches within the park and to those wishing to come on as new guests.
We do also have to ensure that all your contact details are up to date. It's surprising how many of us change our mobile numbers.

Well what can I say but this is a lovely family run site with a little shop a nice size pool and a bar it has very good size grass pitches which are well looked after and a big park for the kids to play in. The campsite is just 10 minutes from the main drag so it's easy to get to also it's just a short drive from Paignton. Brixham And many other lovely places to visit

Welcoming and friendly park , nicely kept with clean and tidy amenities, cracking pool with loungers and a bar to round off the evenings ÔøΩ definitely will be returning for another visit in the future .

We have had 2 amazing weeks down here. Friendly clean and fab swims at 9 am in the out door pool. We will definitely coming again. Well done Widend

We have been season pitch holders for 20years!! South Devon has a special place in our heart's . We arrived at Widend in the pouring rain I was for going home the next day then I met this special lady called Julie, she convinced me to stay so 20 years later we are still here, our daughters are now adults but still have life long freinds they made in childhood at Widend and us we have many here as well. So come on down ( or even up from the far west ) -you will not find a bettet place to stay!!! Jackie Watson x

We have been holidaying at this family run site for many years and watched the site expand but it still retains its family friendly atmosphere with a lovely size swimming pool and a safe play area

We have a static pitch here and this is our second year now, it is a no frills sight but having said that it has a club house that is really cozy and has light entertainment and the staff are really accommodating and friendly, there is an outside swimming pool next to the bar that's heated, there is a little camp shop that has all you will need again with friendly staff and a couple that do food to order and it is absolutely the best oh and where it is situated the views and walks available to you are breathtaking

We first visited this amazing site about 20 years ago while our children were young but sold our van due to not using it much. Now they have left home we have returned to caravaning and we found ourselves back at Widend. Juile and all the staff are so helpful, nothing is ever to much trouble. The toilet / shower block are kept immaculately clean. The pool is lovely as well as the club house . The shop is well stocked and the takeaway serves proper home made meals. We are so excited about 2019 as we have decided to put our caravan on a seasonal pitch .

Lovely park, excellent seasonal pitches and at a fraction of the cost of other sites. Set up high on rolling hills with good view over the moors. Heated outdoor pool and a superb spot to allow some freedom for your children in safety.

Lovely park showed to pitch by Julie. Very polite and helpful regarding info about the caravan and camping site. Children loved the park loads of room to play. Very clean and tidy spacious pitches, heated swimming pool, good entertainment in the evening with cabaret and bingo. Reasonable prices at the bar and good stocked shop. Lovely takeaway with good home cooking and friendly staff. The park is a great location for visiting the English Rivera. See you again next year!

It was a five day holiday.it is only 10 mins drive from Torquay and 15mins from Paignton, a great base to go anywhere in Torbay with so many attractions near. Owner and staff very nice. the site is very clean,tidy & very friendly. showers nice and hot at different times of the day also very clean. swimming pool clean and nice and warm (stayed in for over an hour with the kids). overall if you are looking for a base to go lots of places or just chill, this is the place. will be going back again

Friendly family park everything spotless toilets shower blocks, children even have their own little bar to get served, the staff are very welcoming and helpful and attend to any issues, will be visiting again.

Fantastic site... dog friendly.. clean toilet and facilities staff are knowledgable about the area and nothing is too much effort for them... when travelling alone this is a great comfort I shall definitely return love love loved it... well done all xx
