Williamson Tea Description

Williamson Tea is a fifth genration family tea farming business committed to growing the highest quality sustainable teas to the benefit of Kenya, its communities, wildlife and environment.

With over 140 years of experience in the art of growing, selecting and blending fine teas we are unlike other tea brands. As Tea farmers we think everyone should know the origins of their teas, how they’re grown, how they’re produced and how the people that grow them are treated, offering complete transparency from Bush to Cup.

All of our teas are from our own farms, something totally unique and offering complete traceability through every aspect. There is no blending from different sources, no increased carbon footprint transporting teas from around the world, just naturally grown, pesticide free teas straight from our bushes to your cup.

KNOW WHERE YOUR TEA COMES FROM...
This National Tea Day we want to encourage transparency in where your tea comes from.
In a time when we are questioning supply chains and their ecological impact more than ever we believe in customers knowing where their tea is from. All our tea is grown on our four Kenyan farms, each with their own characteristics and ecology. We then take the process through plucking, drying, tasting, production, packaging and right to the customer.
... Passionate about every part of the process from bush to cup we'd love to hear from you as to what what you'd like to know!

Dame Daphne Sheldrick, Elephant Mother
All of us in the Williamson Tea family were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick DBE.
Dame Daphne Sheldrick dedicated over 60 years of her life to protecting and conserving African wildlife, most notably her work with orphaned elephants. During 40 years of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Daphne Daphne nursed, bathed and rehabilitated over 230 orphaned elephants that came to her care. Not only did her tir...eless work save countless lives but through releasing them safely into the wild she established generations of elephants to come.
A true pioneer of conservation and matriarch to elephants, the trust and her family, Daphne’s legacy is immeasurable and the lives she touched will not be forgotten.
We at Williamson Tea are proud to support the work of The David Sheldrick Trust and to have learnt from Dame Daphne Sheldrick that one person can make a positive and lasting difference. We will continue to support The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust building on Daphn’s legacy and mission to protect and conserve wildlife.

User

Probably the best tea in the world. Especially Earl Grey and English Breakfast

User

Love this tea, I have tried three different types now and have not been disappointed. My favourite so far has to be ginger grove. Absolutely love the elephant caddies and the work with DSWT. Looking forward to trying your purple matcha which is on its way to me

User

Love their teas and the elephant caddies are a great way to store it and keep it fresh. Plus you know you are supporting their cause 🐘😊

User

Love the tea. Our builder came for a cuppa this week and commented on a perfect really good tasting tea. (we had been leaving pg tips for the builders)

User

Love the tea. Earl Grey is the best , 🖒 very refreshing and fantastic depth of taste. Tea caddies are lovely.

User

Love the Lemon and Ginger.........and, of course, the elephant tins!

User

Love the Earl Grey, Assam. I have seven large tins to date and one small. I wish we could get larger packs because l hate running out. Other teas are not a substitute by any means. Were a Dyson household too so brand loyal. More green tea tins please. I'd like some colour balance along my specially created tea shelf.

User

Love every tea iv tried from you guys!!!! my only complaint is no longer seeing lose leaf tea bags of earl gray green tea....

User

Love all of the caddie designs, really makes them stand out from other brands making them unique! The Assam and earl grey are most definitely worth trying, lovely strong taste and beautiful aromas (:

User

It is the best Earl Grey tea I've ever had can't wait to try others !!! #TeaLover

I first tried Williamson Tea when my mother ordered a few of the (fantastic) elephant caddies. Besides the fact that the Darjeeling came in a pink elephant (who can resist a pink elephant?), the taste of the teas were superb. The Earl Gray has an almost smokey flavor that is the best I have found.

I might have gotten in over my head with my enviable collection of elephant caddies (they are hard to resist when a new one comes out) which line a shelf in my kitchen and make me smile every time I want to steep a cuppa, but it is the tea that keeps me coming back for more.

Once to order this tea, you'll swallow all your hesitation about the shipping cost as you keep coming back for more!

User

I first tried Williamson Tea when I found one of their caddies in TK Maxx, and subsequently fell in love with the design. I wasn't disappointed with the tea flavour either; was one of the best i've ever tasted. The flavours are unbeatable, and their elephant caddies are stunning. I'm in the process of collecting all of them!

User

I did the Enormous Elephant run recently and in the goodie bag at the end was some Williamson tea. I have only just tried it and it's fantastic! I cant stop drinking the Earl Grey. Thank you for sponsoring the run.

User

I am a huge Earl Grey tea fan and I've tried many, many brands. Williamson is my favourite by far! I really do wish they'd bring back their loose leaf Earl Grey Blue Flower tea though, as this one was the best!! :-)

User

High grown Kenyan is awesome. Very hard to find in Australia however and postage costs via the website are also high. I hope you find more outlets to stock that particular tea in Aus.

User

First time I've tasted Williamson afternoon tea when I received it as a gift for Christmas in a wonderful elephant caddy....wow what a great cuppa, best tea I have ever tasted. Finding it very difficult to find in supermarkets though

User

Absolutely the best Early Grey tea there is - I take a supply of it every time we go away as hotels don't seem to have it and try to give me inferior tasting brands!

User

About to receive delivery of my 2nd consignment of Earl Grey! Got fed up of Waitrose not having it in so have started buying it 6 boxes at a time. Also love my Elephant tin at home. Always fast delivery and also fast customer service - i panicked as Earl Grey was not on the site but i got a lovely email from them saying a new batch was being made - Phew!
