A couple of weeks ago we were at the Selvedge Run trade show where we met up with Atsusuke Tagaya, founder and head designer at Stevenson Overall Co. Atsu is one of the nicest guys you could meet, as well as being an incredibly talented designer - the quality and finish on SOC clothes has to be seen to be believed.

Stevenson Overall Co is a premium Japanese brand whose clothing is 'made with pride and worn for life.' The company has a well-deserved reputation for their designs, choice of fabrics and craftsmanship using labour-intensive construction methods, with garments made on vintage sewing machines.
Their 'Golden Gate' jacket is inspired by a vintage railwayman's workwear. The design includes a chest pocket with a built-in pen pocket, and features include simple inclined patch pock...ets and original donut type buttons.
The jacket has a shorter, boxy cut and the jacket is finished with a 9 oz Indigo pin check a fabric traditionally used for vintage workwear.

Nigel Cabourn has been a key figure in English menswear for over forty years producing collections driven by inspirational stories of real people in history and vintage military, outdoor and workwear pieces.
Inspired by a 60s Brazilian surf shirt, Nigel's Frankie's shirt for SS18 has been produced in a specially developed cotton featuring a woven pattern in white thread typical of this period. Nigel has taken details from the original – such as the three pockets and a Cuban style collar to produce a great casual summer shirt. It comes in two colours – navy or army.

It's been a great first week at Arnold & Co. One of our our best sellers over the last few days has been our very own Forge Denim Bretton Tee. It's available in Ecru or Navy, with short and long sleeves. Our version is made with a 250 gsm jersey fabric, sourced and knitted in England.

Clutch magazine were sufficiently impressed by Vintage Works belts to feature them in a double page spread, saying that the belts 'age beautifully the more they are used...items that are truly built to last.'
