Hi. Just a quick reminder that the mohair collection is drawing to a close and if you are contributing this year please ensure that your fleece is at your local collection point this weekend.

If you are contributing fibre to this year's sale please contact your collection point. Fleece to be bought to the collection points by September 22nd if at all possible as this will help ensure we can get it collected, sorted and graded in a timely fashion. Many thanks.

Some lovely Corrymoor fleece at the Royal Welsh Show. They of course produce for their lovely socks. But as you can see from the label it is worth selling if you are producing more mohair than you need. I will be sorting mine out today to prepare for the BMM collection in the Autumn

It will soon be that time of year again. The BMM Board is currently working on the process of obtaining a sale for this year's production of mohair. We would like to see volume increase as there is a demand and a higher volume will most likely increase the profit. If you have fleeces ready and waiting that you would like to sell and you are not already a BMM member please contact us. We are happy to hear from you even if it is a small number of fleeces.

There is a lot of interest in Angora Goats whenever we take them to Livestock Shows or Fibre Events around the country. And always some visitors who would like to spend more time with them. This year we have been running some 1/2 day sessions to give people the opportunity to learn more about the goats and more about working with mohair.
