Love this gym love the classes LBT, SPIN , STEP lost 15lb in 6 wks of gym 9 wks of healthy eating . Staff lovley best thing i did for myself joining the gym

User

I have been visiting Concord Sports Centre for over 42 years and have seen many changes. An excellent facility for the surrounding communities that is much needed! Love this place from starting as an 11 year old doing Gymnastics to now using the gym and pool.

User

I love coming to concord to do gym classes. However im disappointed that I reported yesterday to the duty manager that the mirrors in the dance studio have not been cleaned for over a week. Came again tonight and still not cleaned. Should have been a priority to get them cleaned first thing.

When we are paying £32 a month it should be spotless.

User

I don't use concord sports centre but I use the park for jogging and can see quite a few people not happy with the receptionists. I can't fault them to be fair. One day I was about a mile from home and desperate for a shit so ran into the sports centre and asked to use the toilets and the kind receptionist agreed so I didn't have to go all covert in the bushes.

Gym membership allegedly includes "a personal trainer to help you build your fitness plan and guide you along your way". All that happened with me was some guy filled out an index card with some suggestions on and put it in a drawer. He showed me how to use one machine then he never spoke to me again. I visited the gym twice a week for three months then gave up.

There's a good array of classes available though and the pool's not bad.

User

Awful class yesturday. Nothing to do with the trainer she was excellent, the air con was down againpkya myzone screen was also down. Won’t be going back till I know air con is working.

Far to hot to put a good workout in when it’s to hot

My son has a disability and struggles with his swimming. Its take over 12mths to get him to stage two with loads of hard work from a previous instructor and 1-2-1 lessons. His instructor has left and someone else has taken over and she is not bothered in teaching him. Spoken to other parents who have said the samr since she has taken over. My son finishes lessons this Saturday I will not be renewing due to this reason. I like concord as I go there alot for gym and classes with my membership but the lessons are not to scratch since the new instructor has come in. Discriminates against kids with disabilities, boys in general and any kid she does not see a potential in

My daughter has been having lessons here for nearly two years and is a very confident swimmer. She still has swimming lessons but after today I'm thinking of cancelling them. Walked up in the pouring rain to be told swimming would not be opened till 12 so we had to wait in reception for a while (no seating area). The que opened back up for us and we got pushed to the back. The receptionist was so rude she told me I can't take my daughter and niece in because of the ratio I explained that she can swim and that I always take them swimming together. My daughter is 7 nearly 8. There was no apology my daughter than began to cry not that the receptionist cared tbh it was handled very poorly. I'm waiting for somebody to ring me back but I shall not hold my breath I could understand if there was a big sign up explaining this.

User

I'm absolutely appalled that fitness classes at a council run gym have gone up from £7 to £10 a session!!! I was under the impression that council run gyms were aiming to encourage the local community to engage in local activities to improve their overall health and social wellbeing at an affordable price. Who can afford these prices? I also frequent 2 other more specialist gyms and both are cheaper than this. Absolute daylight robbery! Such a shame!
