Went for a family meal with 10 of us in total. The pub is a very nice, modern and clean. Staff really friendly and most importantly the food was absolutely spot on.



I had the gammon which was cooked to perfection.



Definitely recommend.

We went last night for my mum's birthday, it was for a party of ten people, everybody's food was outstanding, fresh and piping hot. The staff were very friendly, helpful and good value for money. We will definitely visit more often.

We have ate in many pubs through our years, it is a favourite pass time for myself and the other girls in my family it is a way of getting together. And I must say the crown and cushion ,we seem to have stuck upon, only 15mins from our home so convenient, the atmosphere - great, we love a busy place, the service and staff - wonderful, the food beautiful I, we are yet to complain. Our party usually consists of 8, a wide range of ages, and the staff and chef are always obliging with the many different requests. We have had many a good evening here and hope to have many more!

Very nice food, and lots of choice and I could have eaten everything off of the specials. The chips are awesome.

Really lovely staff , had fish and chips was lovely , reading through some comments to be honest i think some people u can never please at the end of the day comments should be constructive and if your food is not right tell the staff they dont know unless u tell them my experience was great

Live near this pub - best pub food in Sheffield - been going in for years and the quality is always good even though I'm sure the cooking staff would have changed over the years. Reasonably priced food but drinks a little on the dear side.

I've been many times the food is always fabulous and well presented they go the extra mile with the deserts and the staff are always pleasant.

I can highly recommend for a quite night out with good atmosphere and great food. Enjoyed our meals very much last night a very big thank you. A big thanks for squeezing us in as you was very busy and we didn't have a reservation. A big plus for great service and wonderful polite staff I'm sure we will be back.

Amazing food friendly staff! Still greeted us with a smile even though we came in looking like drowned rats from a family bike ride ��. Will definitely return, dessert was well worth fitting in on top of full very full belly's. Pure indulgence �

Very good service. Good value for money. We had the steak pie and I would definitely recommend it, full off meat, make sure you are hungry.

Booked a table for 4 on Halloween, so was quite a busy evening, but we were very well attended by the staff. Only had two starters, but they were big enough to share between the four of us! We ordered 4 different meals from the 'specials' board, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Really good value, and proper Yorkshire portions too! Great atmosphere in lovely surroundings, definitely worth visiting, we will be back soon!!

We have eaten here numerous occasions but on Sunday the salmon was over cooked the mash potatoes roast potatoes were cold. The other veggies were still very hard. Had better meals there.

Asked for burger with only cheese come with loads of onions had to scrape them off also got 8 chips may be not even that

We've always had great food and service so i think our bad experience was a one off. Visited in Tues 5th December for my husband's birthday. Table booked for 7.30 . It was fairly quiet . Waited 20 mins for our order to be taken . Starter was antipasto, we were sharing . A board of bread was brought out "while we waited " ? ? Quite a few of us were obviously waiting . Starter arrived and 50 mins later the mains !!. The waitress said "sorry for the wait "We'd eaten the bread and nearly the wooden boards . Sea bass was lovely, sauce was cold , microwaved veg and they forgot my potatoes. A portion was microwaved, but I'd almost finished. Didn't have desert as we'd lost the will to live . No explanation was given . Plenty of staff and they managed to make the sandwiches for the quiz . Put us off returning for a while .

Sunday menu is restricted to roasts. No other options. No baby change facilities. Was told by chef that 'on this occasion, he would accommodate by doing pie. Let me tell you, it will be the only occasion. As we won't be back. Dry pie, hard veg and average service.



What kind of pub only offers meat and a Sunday lunch nowadays? More options should be available. Too busy putting sausages and sandwiches on the bar!!! Lazy.

First visit for some time as ongoing adverts for new chef/chef assistant made us sceptical always been impressed bur sorry today was awful my partner had seabass n that was good no complaints from him i jad cod supremem n yuk was like a boil in bag couldnt see or taste cod or mash n sause was like a carton of doubke cream had just been dropped on pan last minute still feel like i had a adult size portion of baby food did tell waitress when she asked but offered nothing on paying £40 plus bill so most expensive glass of wine i ever had sorry crown but youve lost yr jewels get yr old chefs bk plzzzzzzzz
