Dronfield and Lowedges Community Brass Band is affiliated to the award winning Dronfield Genquip Band.

It began in 2001 with just a handful of beginners and now has around 20 regular players. Under a new Musical Director, Mr Nigel Fletcher, the band is building its musical repertoire by playing a wide range of music. The band performs regularly, putting on its own concerts and playing at community events and also competes at unregistered section competitions where it has enjoyed a number of successes.

Dronfield and Lowedges Community Brass Band welcomes brass and percussion players of any standard from beginner to more advanced and at any age. We currently have a mix with children as young as 8 or 9 years old, along with adults, and we have a number of more experienced players able to provide support and advice to those who are learning.
