We now have a Headquarters thanks to Blyth WorkSpace. Mr Herron picked the keys up today to our new office space that will be the central hub for all our provisions across the region.
This is the first step in a series of developments coming over the next few months...keep watching as we aim to bring more opportunities to the many young people needing our support and guidance.

Just a reminder to all students & parents that we break up on Thursday 4th April for Easter. We return on Tuesday 23rd April and are excited to push forward with preparations for Year 11 GCSE examinations.
Have a great break everyone and remember it is down to you how well you will do in your examinations. The hard work and preparation you put in, will make the examinations a lot easier.
It is on you if you do well and also if you don’t!

ENGAGE launches another project!!!
Following the recent success of ‘ENGAGING Furniture’ at our Alnwick provision...we are launching another project ‘ENGAGE Recycling’ from our Blyth provision in January.
We are looking for any spare pallets or wood and our students, assisted by our qualified staff, will design and make items, either to your request or to sell on to others. All money raised through the sales will be put back into the ‘Recycling’ fund as we aim to help give ou...r students the best possible opportunities of success.
We will collect all pallets and wood if required or they can be dropped off at ENGAGE. All enquiries to either reply to this post or DM the ENGAGE page and we’ll get back to you ASAP.
Looking forward to seeing how this goes and I’m sure we’ll get plenty of tasks to keep the boys busy.

ENGAGE students enjoy Drager course!!!
Six of our students attended a wearer course at Drager today led by Drager trainer Paul Hetherington and all took a great deal from it. Paul expressed how impressed he’d been with the students and couldn’t praise their efforts enough.
The six students were very positive about the experience and staff Lee & Martyn said they conducted themselves really well.
... Further evidence of the real positive relationship between ENGAGE and Drager and more evidence of our drive to give our students the best possible opportunities to achieve success.

The Rotary Club Visit ENGAGE!!!
It was great to have Junior Vice President Peter Malone and Rotarian of the Year Shad Saleem visit our Blyth provision today. They enjoyed a tour from Blyth lead Davy Orr & ENGAGE Business Development Lead Julie Butler, chatting with staff and students on the way around.
This is the beginning of a fantastic link between ENGAGE and the Rotary Club, as we continue to strive to create as many opportunities as possible for our young people.

A huge well done to all staff and students today who made ‘elf day’ a success...raising over £100 for Alzheimer’s.
Some staff even went into the community, collecting their own children from school and fuelling cars up in their outfits.
Well done everyone...Christmas jumper day next week!!!

We continue to develop our relationships with other businesses in efforts to engage our students and create as many opportunities as possible.
Murton Equestrian Centre have been amazing in working with 4 of our students Katie, David, Beth and Dylan. Giving them some great experiences whilst allowing them to both ride and look after their horses. Both Nicola and Rachael (ENGAGE Staff) have been so impressed by our students and their efforts
... We are really looking forward to developing our relationship and giving more students the opportunity of this experience in the future.

Everyone at ENGAGE would like to wish John ‘Joker’ Cairns well in the future following his last day with us today.
John has been an excellent member of staff and a real inspiration to our students. His ability to engage our learners and go over and above for them has really made him a favourite.
... Best wishes John and we hope to see you back with us some day...!

Great to catch up with the champ yesterday!!!
Last night Mr Herron visited Newbiggin Boxing Club to meet up with Alex Brown, plus her Gold medal, following her return from the European Championships in Russia. He handed her tracksuit back that now has the ENGAGE logo on to confirm our long term sponsorship deal and chatted about Russia and the future.
Best of luck Alex...we are behind you all the way!!!

I saw a post from Engage on Facebook offering GCSE revision support and thought ok I'll give it ago.... anything to help and support your kids. I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect or how my son would respond but WOW what a great set up and amazing group of talented and caring people. My son was fully engaged (no pun intended) and actually enjoyed learning. They even picked him up from school - which was a big help. A massive thank you to Alice, Joe and Jack for being great teachers and to Ian Herron. Fingers crossed for some great results in the Summer.

I had the pleasure of visiting Engage Today and can honestly say I was blown away by what has been achieved in such a short space of time. These young adults, who for whatever reason, have found it hard to progress in a typical school environment were truely flourishing in an environment which is catered for them. Not only are they building a small village within the facility which will include a hair & beauty salon, carpet fitting centre, plastering station etc. but they were also progressing well in their academic studies too.

Everyone involved at Engage, staff, students and volunteers should be immensely proud of what they are achieving.

Well done & keep up the great work.

PS. I'll be in for a hair cut once the salon is fully built :o)

I carnt believe that I'm Leaving and the staff a mint haha

Engage is a fantastic establishment focussed on inspiring young people and high quality learning/life experiences. After volunteering here several times, i can honestly say the students are fab and eager to learn. The staff are also awesome!

Can't believe my son is due to leave Engage had his last exam . Not every child fits in at a school .So to have a place like engage is wonderful changed my life and my son. The staff are amazing not just with kids but parents to . Thank you so much for everything you have done for us x

Best place for education AV ever been threw every school and other place AV been none other are like engage when you go its like one big family they are all there to support and help and that's what they do every memeber of staff is amazing and this is coming from a student who been kicked out of most places round here and from my first day at engage a love it from TUCKA!
