we went to skating on ice can I just say we enjoyed the show. but even better was the security staff who helped us to our seats and managed to find better placed for our disable sister. Thank you Dean

User

Would like to say a massive thank you to the arena staff including the parking attendants who were fantastic last night when we attended little mix with our daughter who’d sustained an injury before the concert .. the staff in the car park did their best to make sure she didn’t have far to walk and we were met with really helpful security staff who assisted us, got us a wheelchair and escorted us to and from our seats! Thank you ..

User

What an evening, tonight was my 7 year old daughters first time at a concert (Xfactor live tour 2018) and she loved it. Thank you to all the artists for making it and thank you to all the staff at fly dsa arena for being so welcoming, polite and helpful. We look forward to attending more concerts

User

Came to the vamps last night from my home time 150 miles away never been to this arena, thought the seats were good seats bought three tickets at £35 each and two tickets in the wow pit for £57 each. Well all was going well until everyone on the right side to us stood up which then blocked my 14 and 16 yr old sons view thry could see nothing. He went to stand where he could see but was told they couldn't as it was stairway, so I spoke to a lovely attendant in the yellow tops who said he could stand on the floor section but he wouldn't as he suffers an aniexty disorder, she got a man from crowd management for me who I spoke to who then arranged for us to sit somewhere else so we could see the show. They also kept putting their thumbs up to my son as they went pass which was nice and reassuring for him, at the end of the show the crowd management man came to speak to me just before last song yo tell me it was the last one so to avoid the crowds maybe I would like to leave now, which was great and we did, aniexty is rarely looked at as a disability and it is, it can have a major effect on a person's life and can stop them from doing what they like to, ie concerts, after the Manchester attack I don't want my child to live in fear so what these two members of staff done for my son was amazing and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Excellent customer services with a lot of thought from them two put into the effects the aniexty can have on my son. One very happy customer thank you very much

User

Saw Phil Collins last night , absolutely amazing!

However the total lack of security last night was scary..... we walked straight in at the door along with everyone else ..... one young man looked at our tickets and that was it..... nothing else....? We could have had anything in our pockets, under our coats , in our bags .... really?

User

Myself and my 11 year old daughter attended the Little Mix concert last night which was fab! We were greeted by helpful parking staff and I was also pleased to see the security measures were in place before you could queue for you door. My only concern was that the children weren't checked at security, even my daughter commented on it! Other than that I did feel as safe as I could have I guess. The staff in the arena were polite and helpful also. I would love to have given 5 stars but the security of checking the kids made me drop a star. I do think the wand would have been fine.

User

Fantastic performance by Green Day. I'm reading people's complaints here and I don't understand them at all. You are complaining about the temperature inside, about stuff and other shits. I'll complaint about people on the concert. I think 3/4 people in the arena was first time not only on f**** rock concert, Those people never been on any concert! No passion, no fun, nothing! I've seen that many people had very lovely time yesterday but most of the people on the floor didn't know what they were doing there. We were about 15 meters from the stage and we were the only four people having fun there. And this silence before encore... we were trying to encourage those people by clapping hands, shouting or screaming but they was looking at us as at freaks! Shame! Really disappointed about the crowd. Never again in Sheffield.

User

Attended Disney On Ice this afternoon 2.30pm show. Car parking = no problem, queuing up = no problem, getting seated, getting food, getting out of the arena = no problem. The show was phenominal and i would highly recommend to all... However, i see comments about security being fantastic upon entry and comments about security being a bit of a inconvenience to some. We didn't encounter any security measures at all. Beeped my tickets and got bunged through the door like cattle. A little concerning if I'm honest. There didn't appear to be any security measures or anyone around to reassure me throughout. Apart from that I'm over the moon with my visit. We will be back. 4* review on this occasion.

User

As a regular concert goer to many venues I feel that the sound system here is really too much. The vibrations were too much for my 9 year old at Little Mix three weeks ago. She needed to get out of the arena for air as the reverberations from the sound made her feel ill. (She's been to concerts before with no problem).

This is where I rate the arena 4stars as the staff were really helpful from stewards to first aiders to car park attendants (allowing my husband to enter to collect her so I could go back in to return to my older daughter and friends). Security was top notch. Unfortunately the sound system has put her off concerts for a while.

User

Went to the Green day Gig at sheffield arena and I agree with everyone else about how hot it was and we had seats so I can't imagine how hot it must have been and like someone has already said the queues for a drink of water took to long.

Security staff were friendly and very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

I was seated in the top tier but as I have arthritis it was so cramped that I asked to move to another seat with more legroom the bloke in the ticket was a bit abrupt and rude but otherwise no hassles and more room.

We parked in car park c and missed the last 2 songs but we was back in our hotel at 11.10 so it was all good.

If you get the opportunity in future go and see them in Leeds as the premier inn is 30 seconds walk from arena.

User

The arena itself fine but £10 for parking ridiculous...we saw OVO and a programme was £20, merchandise people walked away.....the food outlet prices are outrageous. Bottles pop and water £2.50, pizza and supposedly the 'best hot dogs in the world' according to the wrapper £5 believe me there vile. Packets of sweets you get for £1 in asda £3.50 here...£5.50 pint of beer. Just no need for it.

User

Katy Perry - Fantastic performance, however, 40 mins late to come on stage, really!!! No apology what so ever.

As for the toilets - what a joke!!! Ladies you were waiting for 30mins. Disabled were locked, had to find a member of staff for the key - as for the sign for the toilet - disabled will find it hard to see - a little green sign!! This sign needs to be changed asap, and there needs to more disabled toilets, not just one each block!!

All staff were fantastic and helpful.

User

Came on Saturday night to the Arena, and had a great night & can’t fault the Arena itself, but i do feel I have to say something about the security of the Arena, as I work in the Security Industry myself. On entering the Arena we were told to have our bags ready to be checked, and as well as mine not being checked neither were the people’s in front of us. I find this really worrying especially in light of recent events.

User

Well what a waste of time/let down comic con was. Hardly no stalls, or they just sold the same pop vinyls. Apart from the GOT thorne An groot to have a picture with, there really wasn't much to do! Compared to other years they been cars An cosplayers walking round. An to find out Dublin comic con was on the same weekend explains it all. Looks like everyone went there. Why would you do this?

User

We attended on Sunday for Disney on Ice and I was bitterly disappointed by the lack of security. We carried a small bag, which was tagged upon entry, but not even opened! What is the point in that? It could have had anything in it. Absolutely no checks whatsoever, either of bags or people.

Having been in the Manchester Arena on May 22nd for the Ariana Grande concert, I had been reassured by the massive step up in security at other venues across the country but Sheffield fell way below par.

Can I ask why??

User

The arena is nothing to rave about. Praise to the security for the excellent and thorough checks they do. But unfortunately that's where the compliments end. Having been to quite a few arenas I can say that Sheffield are always charging more for extras (parking, food etc). The food prices are disgusting (it's an arena Im not naive and expecting high street prices) £2 for water? Seriously? Seems a lot like the new tighter restrictions on food and drink being brought in is now being used as a way to exploit people for food and drink. The arena does the job and let's you see the events you wanna see. But I wouldn't say I enjoy going to Sheffield arena.

User

I have emailed and tweeted Fly DSA arena, but I am yet to receive a response 2 weeks later.

I was recently at an event where I saw an overwhelming number of people drug-taking and smoking cigarettes (amongst other things). It completely ruined the experience for me and I felt so uncomfortable being there. Coming away stinking of smoke was not great either! The bar were not prepared to serve me a bottle of water (had to be poured into a plastic cup), but were prepared to sell several full bottles of wine to a group if young lads? I don't think I will return to Fly DSA Sheffield in the near future, unless they review their policies.

User

I had 2 phones on constant dial up redial this morning from 8:59 to purchase killers tickets? Continuous engage sound from the box office, to finally be answered at 10:22 to then be told all tickets have now sold out?????? How! Because unless there was a bloody big queue outside the front doors to arena I can't see how this can happen, unless the secondary ticketmaster, seetickets, and various others have paid your arena very well in buying up all your floor space and seating prior to the tickets even going on sale..hmm nice big brown envelope job? Or do you take a cut at the over inflated secondary triple face value! price?! Shameful scam in which the true fans pay the penalty.

User

Attended Queen last night (amazing band a must see!!!!) however the security and crowd control last night was appalling...knowing it was a sell out and with all the heightened security at the moment I would have thought that this would be a high priority. The total lack of direction by the outside stewards / security was terrible....Also why only look in womens hand bags? Why bother to only check women? For the first time ever, I had felt anxious over the security at a gig. Times have changed and so must the security ;0(

User
