User

We were there for the finish of the Tour de YorYorkshire. The event was very well.organised and run. The coverage was great too. The shops all seemed to enter in to the spirit too....infavt both Deepcar and Stocksbridge did! Even when its not TdY the place is clean and tidy with a great mix of shops, etc . Well worth a visit 😊

User

We love it here. Everything you could possibly need on a shopping trip. The market is wonderful when it's on.

User

Visited Fox Valley today and had a great day! Met a friend who lived in Manchester as it was a middle ground, the shops were good as there was plenty to choose from and browse in. We spent a while in Sanderson's looking at makeup then went for cream tea and prossecco which was a good change from a heavy lunch! Would definitely go again, as there's plenty to do! Personal favourite is the grass giraffe. The staff were so friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to help us have the perfect catch-up day for everyone worried about parking there is plenty and it's free for 4 hours and only £2.50 for the full day if you want to stay longer, which is great! Highly recommend, will be back soon!

Myself and Brother, alongside a lady I believe to be from the florists outside Sandersons, were the first on scene yesterday to an incident involving the young lad who unfortunately was injured during a road traffic accident. From a personal view, I just want to highlight the professionalism of the team at Fox Valley. Their quick decision making and calmness under pressure during an unpleasant and stressful situation was exceptional. Each individual carried out their duties without hesitation and to the highest standard. Well done all round!

User

I think this place is awesome but maybe next year you'll consider working parents etc and decide on a better switch on time for Xmas lights (7pm) my 5 year old child was a tad upset to say the least!

User

I love it here, all the staff in every single shop I went in were friendly, chatty and polite.

User

We enjoyed a few hours there as a family. We were particularly attracted by the Jo Jo shop but had a browse im others too. Our little one enjoyed watching the fountains and playing by the grass animals but I think the area needs more family-friendly facilities like a play area and cafes serving kids sandwiches and snacks. The toilets weren't signposted which was a little odd! A pleasant environment with good free parking facilities.

User

Lovely shops, shame about the parking. Noticed recently a lot of people have been caught out with either a £60 or £100 fine for going over the 4 hrs. Somebody is gaining from this and it’s not the shoppers. Personally I think parking charges should be introduced so people have an option to stay longer than 4 hrs as there is plenty to do and people will have travelled go get there.

User

Went today to shop for the first time shops good but on going into the department store was made to feel really uncomfortable browsed the store with my family feeling like I was being followed was going to make a large spend at ingot but due to the customer service which was shocking decided id rather spend on online won't be coming to fox valley again!

User

I would give Fox Valley 5 star's if it wasn't for this reoccurring problem. Car park area not policed at all. Children spaces always taken up by people with no children. Addressed with Fox Valley before. However today we visited and a man with blue badge parked in children space despite several disabled spaces available. When confronted his response was he would be fine as he is Mr Dransfield next door neighbour. No car park attended available make aware of this.

NYC Bar & Grill is a restaurant located in Fox Valley, we called in for a evening meal having never been before.

The whole experience was disappointing from start to finish. The staff seemed to be miserable, untidy and abit clueless. Starters were taken to which we ordered ‘Mozzarella FRIES’ and nachos. The fries weren’t fries they were dippers and the cheese on the nachos were cut up chunks of cheese slices that were cold. Never ever seen cheese slices on nachos especially not melted. No cutlery was given out or napkins to which I had to go up to the bar to ask for. The table behind us had received there main and three different members of staff came and asked them the same questions as no staff were assigned tables or customers or spoke between each other. After our starters were taken away we waited over half hour with no food to find out it hadn’t been ordered through there system. To which no member of staff came to apologise or explain. I went to confront a member of staff who wanted to take drinks to another customer before talking with me. When the food arrived I had asked for a child’s plain cheeseburger but it came with everything on to which we had to take off. My meal didn’t come with fried onions like it stated and the hot dog was cut in half long ways on two pieces of bread separately which isn’t a hot dog?!

The manager was apologetic and gave us the meal free of charge.

But all in all the organisation of the staff and the training appears very minimal, uniform was a scraggy tshirt which fair enough it’s a casual restaurant but staff are to look professional. It was said to us that they were very busy - busy with cocktails and drinks not really food as there was only probably 6 tables occupied.

Not putting anyone off going this is mainly aimed at the restaurant to improve customer service and staffing.

Thanks !

£100 parking fine for having a coffee, a shop and lunch with family, all in 4hours and 12 minutes. We tried to support local business instead of going to Meadowhall spending £400 on our visit and penalised for not going past pets at home to see a parking meter for an additional stay I would have had no hesitation to pay at a parking meter had I seen one. I know where I will stick to from now on. They obviously don't want to encourage people to travel to enjoy the facilities!!!! Disgraceful when contacted about it too!

User

Very dissapointed as on the 9.8.17 visted fox valley to only have my partners car scraped all down 1 complete side by some very inconsidarate and dishonest driver who then drove off .. upon speaking to the fox valley security staff on 3 separate occasions to see if they had checked cctv just simply kept fobbing me off saying they hadnt had chance to look and would look again .. simply gave it up as a bad job in the end! as sick ov feeling like im wasting there time!

User

The same as other reviews, I will not be going back again !! Had my first visit with my mum . We went into the tea rooms and walked all around . Mum bought a coat from sea salt and we both bought other items from various shops . Finished the day off with a Costa coffee and bun .

Then to now find we have a £60 parking fine that goes up to £100 if not paid in two week !!!!

We did not see any signs for parking or meters !!! Very poor we will stick to Meadowhall, crystal peaks ect .

A nice day out spoilt !!!! Total rip off car parking

User

On arrival three of us searched for any signs about parking but there was nothing obvious

We had a brilliant shop and good lunch and imagine my horror at receiving a £60 fine for overstaying by about 14 minutes. What is this all about. Of course we would have paid had we seen a clear prompt. £60 fine on top of Christmas shopping is not what you would ask for and then to go on line and find we could have paid £2.50 for the whole day. Please please can someone do something about the signs.

User

It's not the place that I've graded poor, we had a lovely day, lunched and shopped. But I'm appalled that my friend who's car we went in got a parking fine! We didn't notice any signs, probably because we didn't look for any as it's an out of town, multi store retail outlet with restaurants and coffee bars. Why is there restricted parking, there's no reason to park there for anything else, no tram into a city centre etc? The signs need to be made so that you can't miss them, or install barriers so that there can be no misunderstanding. £100 (or £60 if paid within 14 days) for going less than 15 minutes over a time limit we didn't know existed. Sadly, I've since heard another friends friend got fined, so two more people who refuse to visit.

User

Incredibly disappointed to have received a parking fine for spending the day at Fox Valley with my mum and little boy! We had a lovely afternoon shopping at our leisure and made purchases in numerous shops! We stopped for lunch and also for a coffee and a cake! It seemed like an ideal shopping complex to visit especially with a toddler in tow! We visited, jo jo maman bebe’s, paper chase, the butchers, next, m&co’s, Aldi’s and Home bargains. We were also looking forward to the addition of boots, which I believe is due to open this month? The car park signs were poor, I don’t recall seeing anything to prompt me to pay to park and I certainly didn’t see any parking meters!! Consequently I now have to pay £60!!!! Or £100 if not paid with in 2 weeks!! I will not be returning if this is the level of customer service I get for spending my money at this retail park!!

User

I overstayed my welcome by 11 minutes in October 2016. The signage stating 4 hours parking was poor - small sign with small writing, so I missed it. I was meeting family from Manchester for coffee and lunch.

I was served with a parking penalty notice in November, which , on advice from others ,I ignored. Anyway I've been taken to court and the bill now stands at £345.05

, So there will be no shopping for me for a while

User

I love Fox Valley but am extremely disappointed to have received a £100 parking fine for staying for 4 hours and 18 minutes. First of all I wasn’t aware of a parking time limit and secondly, why would you put a limit on parking time when you offer so many different shops and cafes? Surely you expect customers to spend a good few hours using the facilities?

Just to outline our day - we shopped, ate lunch sat outside Greggs watching some of the performers you had provided, shopped a bit more, tried on several outfits, went in Costa coffee, and finally did our weekly shop in Aldi. I am utterly appalled to have received this fine, especially as we never saw any signs to say there was a time limit, and also why would you want customers to feel rushed? Unlikely we will return, which is a shame as it’s a lovely little place for shopping!!!
