What a wonderful shop!!! I can also access the shop on my mobility scooter. An Aladdin's cave of goodies!! The staff are wonderful and very helpful. They will move any stands in my way so I can get round, also if you cannot find what you want they will help you.

Many of the items can be seen on my past , present and future costumes . Spoilt for choice...has about everything you could need and reasonable prices too. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you for making my stage work look as dazzling as it does .

Just finished the skirt block course and have had a wonderful time. Plenty of room to move about, expert help and knowledge from the tutor, Sarah, and not forgetting the tea and biscuits. I felt very relaxed, staff were helpful and courteous. Thank you Sarah. x

If they haven't already got it, they can normally find it or suggest something else,, it's a crafters Aladins cave,,, no need to visit the big chains,, shop local and keep this little gem in the heart of chesterfield

I have been going to Fred's for the past 39 years. I went today looking for assessories to personalise my mother of the bride outfit and could not have recieved better customer service. Thank you

I went to a well known craft store for a 9mm circular knitting needle. In my defence I was short on time and you can park outside. Needless to say they didn't have any. I then went to the town centre to Fred's Haberdashery and they had a choice of lengths. Moral of this story go straight to Fred's in future. I am now happily knitting.

Friendly and marvellous, always trying to update stock with things people want!

For a lot of years I have been shopping at freds from him working on a stall on the market to the little crowded shop at the bottom of the market Hall. Nearly every time I went in it was full of customers even to the door. Today in its new shop and new owners it has the same friendly atmosphere and pleasant service wishing you a happy future Freds

At the risk of getting someone into trouble i just want to thank the person who let my daughter have a pom pom for her reindeers nose, as a gift from them, versus me buying a length off the reel. Amazing service �����
