Yesterday was a bit of a friends reunion for my husband and Monday was the same. Staff on both occasions really friendly. We also had an evening meal on Saturday last with extended family and 3days of breakfasts. Staff always really helpful and welcoming. The only gripe I have is the hot breakfast took a while to arrive, which meant cold toast, if we had made it earlier incase of a queue or the children filling up on the yummy other things and having little room for the cooked breakfast!! Have you ever thought about a buffet system like some of the other Premier Inns? All said, we had a lovely time and will be back soon

We go here a lot and really like it. I sometimes feel that there aren't enough serving staff, but this could be down to people not turning in for work. The staff are kind, friendly and always even going the extra mile. They went to the shop to buy a pencil sharpener so the kids in our party could colour in. They always give you the best deal available to you too.

Great service tonight by friendly staff and beautifully cooked food too. The best steak we’ve had in a long time

Went yesterday with my dad as an early father's day treat, it was an enjoyable afternoon, lovely grub, really enjoyed the Buttermilk and Rosemary Chicken Goujons as a starter, really recommend them, plenty of tasty filling burgers to choose from also. Friendly and polite bar staff, shout out to the nice young lady (Laura) who served us and brought out our bottle of wine in a fancy ice bucket, that was a nice touch, oh and for returning my baseball cap which I almost left behind, lol. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Had mothers day meal with daughter and son on law and choose the 16.99 mothers day option. The food was good and staff friendly. My only issue was that for 16.99 for 3 courses seemed a good deal until I checked the bill when I returned home, some 90 miles away and which I normally do when presented with it and discovered we were charged for 4 deserts an extra 20 pounds nearly which were supposed to be in with the price.

This is one of our favourite places to eat and never been disappointed until we went on Saturday to celebrate my daughter getting a job. We seemed to have two waitresses sharing our table, one took the order other served food. Person who took order said two of our party could have sides for starters other one didn't know and so their starters came out after everyone else's. We felt like they were rushing us to leave they didn't even offer us dessert and seem annoyed when we asked for menu. Also perhaps if waitresses are going to talk about you they should do it more discretely. Food as usual was good apart from the kids chips looked like one portion had been shared between all three. Its a shame as normally absolutely love this place.

I am one of those people that don't like salt so I didn't like the bacon but the service was good

User

The bar has two handpumps-but for the last few weeks every time we go in there is just Black Sheep on the one pump and no guest ale-very poor-if you aren't going to have two real ales on get rid of the pump !!

User

Normally I love this place last night was a very different story ...very thing seemed to had been rushed ..lots of table placed very closed to each other we could hear what other guest were talking about ..we were wait a while for drinks, end up going to bar..the chips were over cooked mushrooms were covered in oil peas were flat cold ...the steak was full of fat we normally come to glass house once months and for mothers day, birthdays etc I always tell friends and family how nice it is ..but last night meal as put me off going

User

Came for sunday lunch .weve been on many occassions .the sunday menu has changed we didnt want the half a chicken as we dont like bones .so we went for beef .the veg was lovley , the service was fine bt the beef was terrible really chewy and fatty n tasted like it had been cookd in fat ..we both left all our beef ..we wouldnt come for sunday lunch again unless we orderd frm the normal menu .

User

We were disappointed with the staff and the lack of service, one of the waitresses actually complained about how busy she was, in the same breath as asking me to move the plates from our starter out of the way of her serving our mains. Could have forgotten about it and made a return trip based fact that the food tasted great, and seemed to be good value for money, but a severe case of food poisoning has put paid to that idea!!

User

We went in last night for a family birthday meal. The service was poor. We waited ages for staff to take our drinks order and then in the end we had to go and find a waitress to take it.

We waited ages in between courses. My chicken was hard, baked potato was Cooked in the microwave, it had black bits in it and was tiny. The pasta in the lesagne wasn't cooked it was still hard.

Won't be rushing back

User

Waited over an hour for our food with no explanation until we asked how long it would be after 50 minutes . Spoke to management and insisted on a refund as we were going to theatre

User

Staff rubbish, my daughters chicken was raw, they promised us a refund for the meal, a round of drinks and desert, then made us pay for all the food and drinks. Would not recommend to anyone!

User

Shit food shit service waitress is miserable face like a slapped arse and my mash potato was like potted meat, nice surroundings but everything else is diabolical.

We're have mucky glasses and then the wrong bottle of wine and then the waitress looked like she was going to cry when my partner asked to exchange it. Never the less both bottles tasted like dogs balls x

User

Ordered a ribeye steak medium rare, it came out stone cold albeit med-rare. Complained which I am loathed to do but they took it away brought it back and it wasn't any diff. Didn't have the energy to wait another 20-30mins so thought I'd give it a go, was horrible cut of meat full of gristle. 1/3 of the steak was inedible and to top it off gave me indigestion. Both were cuts without bone which are never as nice as a proper rib eye. Front facing staff were very nice but they need a new chef! Nevermind, won't be coming back
