Went for the first time yesterday. The food was excellent and all home cooked - I had the chicken and mushroom pie, which was lovely. The icing on the cake is they sell Bradwells ice cream - heaven for a Sheffielder who now lives in London

Welcoming & friendly staff. We had Jacket potatoes [excellent- good portions with a nice side salad] followed by cakes [Brownies; Rocky Road and Flapjack - all delicious]. The cafe is compact with a nice conservatory area which has additional tables. Toilets are clean and accessable. The shop stocks a lovely range of scarves and cards.

We've been here several times and never had anything other than good food, good service and pleasant surroundings and you can buy their yummy pies and quiches to take home! We shall be there again next month with family - we often take friends from out of town too.

Took my family for afternoon tea for my mums birthday. The best value afternoon tea we have ever had plenty of tasty sandwiches, scones, and two different cakes with tea and coffee. The wonderful homemade food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. My mum had a wonderful birthday thank you we will definitely be returning.

This was my first visit. We had afternoon tea and it was such good value. The amount of food defeated even me. The gift shop is packed with nice things. I will definitely return.

My husband and myself went for afternoon tea ,really enjoyed it .Its a lovely place ,lovely staff and good food.We will probably go back and have lunch .

My family and I visit Hackney House at least twice a month the service is excellent and the food is good old fashioned cooking. We have never had a bad meal yet. Oh and you must try out all the home made cakes on offer to eat in or to take out. Well done 👍🏻 to all involved making a great atmosphere 👏Would highly recommend 5 stars 🌟

Lovely cafe. We didn't book and the cafe was very busy but Kathryn quickly sorted a table whilst we browsed in the gift shop. Main meals were very nice and ample size and after checking out all the cakes and desserts on offer we chose coffee and walnut, scrumptious. I even bought a chocolate brownie to take home for my Husband (didn't want him missing out). Will definitely being visiting again. We also bought some gifts from the gift shop that you just cannot find on the high street. Brilliant afternoon, thank you.

Lovely cafe. The food was delicious. A Stilton/ pear and walnut quiche to die for.

Love love love this place . We are frequent visitors and can never fault anything . Recommend you book as it is always busy with the lovely gift shop as well .

Always excellent fresh home produce , good wide menu choice . If you love beautifully made pies etc , quiche , and incredible deserts plus good service . You must go . Staff are always attentive and nothing is too much trouble . If you go on a warm day the conservatory can get very hot but then you could ask to sit outside in the lovely patio areas .

Been today .... Fab as usual love the new carpet upstairs but can i say i much prefer the old signage in National Trust Green not the burgundy you are just doing ... Just my thought , it wont stop me going

Just been for pie and pudding night which was amazing! Proper homemade pies and puddings, perfect Friday evening meal!

In response to a critical comment made today relating to a male cyclist slipping due in no small part to the wearing of cleats ( I know because I also wear them) I can report that staff did enquire as to his well being and I heard him state that he was ok and didn’t appear to want any fuss.

I’ve always found the staff to be very courteous and food excellent.

I'm so glad that I found this place! The best Sunday dinner I have ever had! Returned today for cream tea too! My new favourite place! ���

My friend x I enjoyed a lovely lunch in a really nice x friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend the food and service. Had a lovely lunch here on Monday. I had the bacon, Brie & cranberry panini which was delicious and my partner had the goats cheese, red pepper & chorizo quiche. We were rather full but seen as it was my birthday we had to have cake, oh my word they were amazing. Will definitely be visiting here again, thank you �

Great food friendly staff, We had the seafood salad which was very good and well presented. The only downside is that they are busy so you really need to book for lunchtime.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch yesterday. The food was excellent, we all had something different. It's also like Aladdin's cave with lots of beautiful gifts and pictures. I would definitely go back. Booking is essential.

Came yesterday and had a full English breakfast, cappuccino and an Earl Grey tea. Friendly staff, service excellent and the food was gorgeous. Took home the salted caramel pavlova which I have to say was one of the nicest desserts I have ever had. Well done all

Amazing place. Food is beautiful and great service all very friendly. The gift shop is lovely to look around too.

Always great food especially the pies! Our regular ‘snack’ is home-made soup and a sandwich for about £8 which is really good value considering the quality. The cakes are to die for generally and the quality of service is also excellent. Obviously when it gets very busy,which it does a lot of the times, the staff are running around all over the place but we have never had any cause for concern and we go there at least once a week. Would highly recommend.

What a shame you have no sympathy for someone who slips and falls seriously in you cafe, when staff were told there wasn’t even a reply or an enquiry as to how the chap was

Travelled from sheffield on a recomendation ! Will not revisit , food great service not so great ! Arrived at 11-30 am told they had one table and was reserved for 1pm which was fine. When the owner (I think ) came for the order we hadn't been given a menu made to feel it was our fault ! Her manor dare I say her customer service left a lot to be desired !! So this spoiled the good food and our day. So sorry would not recommend a second visit.
