Very nice staff always happy to help and lovely food. Nothing is to much trouble, we go there quite alot and have never had a problem with anything. Very pleased and will definatly keep going there.

Very happy with the speed and level of service. Having a very loud and boisterous(nearly 2 year old) I requested a seat in a corner as far away from other diners as possible. As strange a request as this may sound, the staff member didn't think twice and accommodated my request without question. This enabled both us and the rest of the diners to enjoy our experience, simply because I wasn't constantly having to run around after my son.



Overall very happy with our experience and will definitely return. Also I would recommend the Harvester to everyone. 5 stars �

Me and the family had a great meal today, food came out in good time. And was really nice. All the staff were helpful and my son helped to pay the bill, which he really liked doing

I often visit harvester chesterfield for breakfast, there’s plenty of choice on the menu and they always go the extra mile to help cater for my extremely fussy 5 year old. The restaurant is always very clean, the atmosphere is great and the staff are brilliant ���

I just want to say how much we have enjoyed our past few visits....Food for all our party was good value...Staff could not have been more helpful...idea for anyone in a wheelchair as tablets are good hight..We look forward to next time...

Had a great evening!! Don't really write reviews normally but after tonight this place deffo deserves one! Me, my partner and our 5 month old went, was busy as its Saturday but got sat straight down at a table suitable for a high chair! My partner spent ages trying to win a toy out the machines for our daughter (she's obsessed with peter rabbit) but had no luck� one of the staff members then bought the toy over that he had won earlier which totally made my daughters day!

Food came out, was well presented but Eva is at an age where she is grabbing food so one of us is always sat waiting for the other to finish which puts me off going out for meals, the manager Sarah was lovely and took Eva and kept her entertained with plenty of cuddles while we ate! Our waitress Emma gave Eva plenty of attention which Eva loves!!

Food was brilliant, me and my partner was able to have 5 mins peace, was fast service and just all in all had a brilliant night!!

Thank you guys, we will bring Eva back soon!x

Another great visit to the Harvester! We had really speedy service and staff are always very accommodating, welcoming, polite and friendly. The food was well presented and tasted amazing, I would definitely recommend the chocolate fudge cake for dessert! I've always known the venue to be clean and inviting and this visit was no different. 5 Star!

Absolutely amazing service from a waitress named Ella !! Chesterfield Harvester is the place to go- she was outstanding very conscientious and caring - she is the best waitress I’ve had the pleasure of being served by !! I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and the service was exceptional!! A real asset to Harvester !!

My mum, daughter and I went to the chesterfield one for tea. My mum's main got sent back the first time it was cold. When it came back it had chips not the jacket she ordered. Other than that the food was loverly and the waitress called Jess was understanding and sorted everything out. She was really nice treated my daughter who is 11 with kindness and could remember us from a previous visit. Nothing was to much trouble. She's a credit to you.

Had a lovely meal at harvesters at Chesterfield served by amber. But to finish off the meal asked for an Irish coffee & was told that they could not serve my coffee in a clear coffee glass but came in a cup. I refused the Irish coffee. A amber Sade that they have a policy on serving coffee in coffee glasses spoilt my end to a lovely day meal.

Average, last time we was there food was really good and couldn't fault it but not on Sunday.



I had a combo meal costing £11.49 which was hardly any bigger in portion size than a child's meal costing £5.99 Inc a dessert.



Was expecting to feel at least full after eating my main course, much better portion size at weatherspoons and at £9.90, much better value.



They had ran out of the drink I wanted along with other items on the menu Inc some on the child's menu.

The service was slow some meals not available no jacket pototoe but had chips gravy was cold butternut squash was squashed broccoli was raw chicken portion was small the whole of the meal was cold and it looked like it all had been thrown on the plate . I will not go there again Donkey Derby you shine .

Had a mixed grill, it wasn't the best one i ave had, asked for peppercorn sauce, to go with the beef steak, peppercorn sauce didn't come out, so ask the waitress, she went of to the kitchen to get it, and it still didn't come out, by the time i finished my meal, the steak i ask for, was well done, it was more like cremated, wasn't impressed with it at all

Well where to start!!



OK so arrived for a party booking and was ignored at the bar to get a drink before everyone arrived. Thought OK maybe was busy but having 2 out of 3 staff ignore me, it was the start of things going wrong.



Our group eventually (after an hour) managed to get a food order placed. This then took 45 minutes to arrive. Well what can I say about the food - one was cold, one had raw egg, mine had to be checked to see if it was right as when it was brought out it was offered wrong so took it back to check. Another came out and the chicken was cremated, this was replaced but not much better.



Before this many of the group went for the salad bar. This was empty and one was told to sit back down until the main food order was taken. By this point we actually considered going to McDonalds!



The young lady who was trying to serve us did her best but leaving a tray of drinks for people to help themselves when some ordered Diet drinks and others normal and they looked the same it wasn't helpful.





Overall, the experience was very poor, we made the best of it we could for a special occasion which was pre-booked. The food was - in some areas - edible but in many very poor.



I have never been in a restaurant/pub in the UK where the service and food was so bad that so many complained.



We were given a discount at the end and some food removed from the bill as it wasn't eaten but this did not make up for the stress caused to the people who had booked this for such a special occasion.



Would I go back - NEVER. Staff need to be better trained in being attentive, ignoring customers is not the way to run a business.

Unfortunately a very bad experience not to be repeated. We had booked a table for a friend's birthday for 9 of us. The food was awful cold and vegetables very hard. There was no rottissery chicken ( I thought they were cooked all day) and to finish the manageress gave us a bill for 10 meals as there was only 9 of us we queried it and the manageress was very ignorant. A very bad experience all round. In the past I have always enjoyed harvester but sadly now I won't be visiting again.

There's not a lot more I can add to the last 3 reviews. Absolutely diabolical service received today but then again, after reading other reviews on here and trip advisor, it looks like a lot more people have received similar service in the past!! Don't they say you learn from your mistakes?? Well it certainly doesn't look like your restaurant does!! Appalling waiting times, empty salad bar, no bread or butter, inadequate/inedible food, the list goes on. One point I would add, is that some of your staff need to learn a few manners and to treat customers with a little more respect. I don't appreciate being ignored by at least 3 members of staff whilst waiting to order a drink at the bar, I don't want to hear your staff complaining and bitching to each other that other members of staff shouldn't be slacking off in the office and I certainly don't appreciate being spoken down to by a girl more than half my age especially when the only reason she spoke to me was to be awkward - asking me to move to allow her through when there was absolutely no need as there was plenty of room. Other staff had walked by with no problems at all. This one particular waitress seemed to be "in a mood" since the minute we set foot in the place. All in all a very very poor experience. I can honestly say I have never experienced service like this.

Rubbish, food was cold and undercooked. Gravy cold for my wife meal and my fish was not at all crispy. Run out of meals on the menu and the unlimited drink machine was not working. Spoiled a good day.

My very close friend booked a table for 25 people for her 50th birthday over a week ago, the tables were not ready, we were left outside waiting, good job it was a hot day! the service was rubbish from start to finish! So fed up waiting for drinks to be ordered, Some of our friends got their own drinks! We all went to get our salad and bread rolls and most of the containers were empty when we asked one of the staff if they could be filled up got a grunt and big telling off that we should wait until after we had ordered our meal before getting the salad! Not sure who they think they all talking to a customer like that, customer is always right! Eventually a staff member arrived to take our order we asked her roughly how long it would be and was told 20 mins which we thought was fine. But 20 mins turned into 45 mins by this time some friends had to leave. A member of staff bought some drinks to the table but some had ordered diet pepsi and some full fat she left them all at the end of the table for us to work out who’s was who’s In the same glasses talk about guess who game with the Pepsi! The meals were finally ready after 45 mins of waiting most of the meals were crap! Meals were cold, burnt, not cooked right The manager did give us 20% off our meals. This should not happen in the first place. All I can say is faulty towers eat your heart out! I will never set foot in your restaurant again. My friends birthday meal was ruined! Thank you for making her feel crap.

I booked for 25 people for my 50th birthday over a week ago, the tables were not ready, the service was horrendous, we finally got to order drinks about 30 mins after we sat down some of the people went to the bar themselves as they were fed up of waiting. we went to get our salad and most of the containers were empty when we asked one of the staff if they could be filled up my friend got told very rudely that she should wait until after she had ordered her meal before getting the salad! so we sat down and after another 15 mins a member of staff arrived to take our order we asked her roughly how long it would be and was told 20 mins which we thought was ok as 2 of the people who was with us had to leave early. we went to get our salad to see there was no bread rolls asked for some and was told they would be 2 mins after 10 mins they arrived The bowls for the salad were hot as they had just come out the dishwasher . A member of staff bought some drinks to the table but some had ordered diet pepsi and some full fat she left them all at the end of the table for us to work out whos was whos. The meals were finally ready after 45 mins of waiting most of the meals were disgusting after they had been stuck on the side for 15 mins waiting to be collected and bought to us one of my friends said her meal was cold when she told a member of staff they just said ok never even offered her a replacement meal another friend had roast chicken and it was burnt black so she asked for it to be replaced which they did but this chicken was burnt and it was dry another friend had fried egg and to say it had only looked at the frying pan isn't a lie it wasn't cooked at all. 2 of my friends didn't even get to eat as they had to leave by the time they left we had been there 2 hours as the food they ordered wasn't ready.The manager did give us 20% of our meals but that wasn't the point the whole birthday meal was ruined well im afraid you have 25 people and there family's that will never go to the harvester again .i am Very very angry and disappointed my day was ruined even after having over a weeks notice there would be a big party arriving,
